Disney Dream Reward $'s

Does anyone know about how long it takes to get the Disney Reward Dream Dollars sent to you once you "cash them in & order them"?

We're going the beginning of April. I'd like to wait until this next statement comes in & I pay it off before I order my rewards $'s, which is usually close to the end of the month. Do you think I would get them in time if I waited this long? or should I just order them now & keep the remaining ones that will be available for the next time?

The way I understand it works now is that you order a rechargeable plastic card now. They will transfer the balance over that you have now, and you can call or on-line request that the new amounts be transferred to the card too. I guess you could call and verify how long it takes, but i would think they could transfer amounts over to the card on the same day, at least on a "business" day. The main thing is to call or request on-line the new card.

Yes, order the Rewards card now. You can do it on-line at bankone.com/Disney with the option "Manage Rewards." It takes a while to get the card, and then you have to call a phone number to activate it. It's much easier to use than the old certificates. I used it last week at a cart outside China in Epcot, and in the Emporium in MK. The receipt evens tells you how many reward dollars you have left on the card (mine is now .35!!)

I understand that to transfer more reward dollars to the card, all you have to do is call the phone number.

You need 20 reward dollars to transfer the first time to get the card. After that, you can transfer 10 at a time with just a phone call and it is instantaneous. So, it depends on how many reward dollars you have. If you transfer now, make sure you leave enough "in the bank" so that when your January-April points are posted that you will have at least 10 reward dollars to transfer.

I called from a payphone at Downtown Disney to have my dollars transferred and then walked into World of Disney to use them. (I already had the card.)

I actually called this evening to get my card sent to me. I was told it takes 12 days to receive the cards. I leave in 11 days, so I cut it to close for my comfort. The young lady let me know that I should receive it in plenty of time, but that the response from them is it takes 12 days.

Thanks for the responses. I think I'll get the card on line today. I have more than enough reward $'s to get the card started ($137 - yippee!) & will have over $10 to transfer more if I need to when the next statement comes in.

Thanks - I love reward Visa's! We'll be getting a free SW ticket soon so I guess I'll have to plan another trip now!!!

I did this and had the rewards transferred in a few minutes, then went and spent them at World of Disney! Not necessary to order the card if you plan to use it at WDW, unless you need the $ to pay something before you go to DTD.
