Just disembarked the Dream on March 10 and can't wait until the Fantasy because 4 nights was just not enough!

Embarking was not a problem for us. We got there at 11:30am and was on the ship by 1pm. The hour and half went quickly between registering for the kid's club and taking pictures.

When I got on board I went straight to D-lounge to see if I could get Palo Brunch reservation. I wasn't too optimistic but I got a reservation :woohoo:.
We then went to lunch at the Cabana. It had an excellent selection. Afterward I changed my daughter into her swimsuit. She hung out there with DH until it was time to get ready for the drill. I went to the room and decorated my door and start unpacking. We had room 2054. What a great location. It only took minutes to get around. We also had a great stateroom host Reza. There were some challenges with our room. The air conditioner controller didn't work. It was freezing. They came and "fixed it" then we had no ac and it was hot. Reza followed up and it was truly fixed.

Sail Away Party - it was ok but we enjoyed the Wonder's Sail Away Party so much more.

Dinner - Favorite meal was at the Enchanted Garden. Least favorite was at the Royal Palace. There wasn't much that appealed to me on the menu. AP was good but I ate alone because DH wasn't feeling well and my DD was picked up to go to the Oceaneer Club. As for my server, he left quite a bit to be desired. He was always in a rush but our assistant server, Kristina was AMAZING. We also did PALO - it was simply delicious and our waiter, Safet was wonderful. We requested him for brunch as well.

PALO Brunch - YUM, YUM, YUM. My DH didn't understand why I wanted to do this brunch so bad. He kept saying there is a brunch at the Cabana - APPLES and ORANGES. Once he got there, he understood. He looked at me and said, this is your type of food. Yes but he is the same person that went up 4 times and that doesn't include dessert and the eggs benedict that he ordered. I guess it was his type of food as well.

SHOW - I was expecting a 5pm, 7pm, 9pm show but they had a 3:15, 6:15 and 8:30pm. I thought adding a matinee was brilliant. Loved Golden Mickey, liked Believe and the Villains was just ok.

Tasting - Did Wine and Martini tasting. Both were quite enjoyable but if I was going to do one again, it would be the Martini.

Castaway Cay - It is a beautiful island and we had fun. We had a hard time finding lounge chairs. People had towels on lounge chairs and beach chairs. There was one family that had 6 lounge chairs and 6 beach chairs. The lounge chairs so they can lay out and the beach chairs so they can sit by the water. I was amazed that they thought that was ok to have 12 chairs for 6 people!

Bahamas - Didn't bother getting off. We enjoyed the ship.

Oceaneer Club - My daughter LOVED IT. Now it did look a little chaotic at times but I guess she enjoyed having all those kids around. We would make 2 or 3 trips there to pick her up and she would ask us to come back. There were times she would cry because she wanted to stay. Each night during dinner, she would leave with the CM and head to the Oceaneer Club.

Midship Detective Agency - Oh I wished I had done this sooner. My daughter and I did it together. You have this card that serves as a badge and you walk throughout the ship with a map. There are designated painting. You point your badge towards the picture and find clues to a case. We did the missing puppies but you can also solve the case of the missing paint. It was so much fun.

Characters - they were everywhere and my daughter loved it. She got a picture with each and everyone of them.

Bars - They are everywhere. We visited all the places in the District included Pink and the Skyline but our favorite bar was the Meridian. It was calm and never crowded. The bartenders were great.

Pool - We didn't find it as crowded as people said but I must be honest, we didn't go on sea day. We found so many other things to do. We did go on our day in the Bahamas and yes finding a chair without a towel was a problem. I saw a set of lounge chairs with towels, a sandal, hat and t-shirt empty for two hours. While I was able to find chairs, it was annoying watching people looking for chairs when there was a bunch empty but with towels on them.

FE - What great fun. It was like being a kid all over again. We would look forward to coming back and seeing what was in the FE. But I swear some of the people who were participating in the FE were ninjas in their other lives because I would walk into the room for 5 minutes and walk out and there was a gift in our FE.

AquaDuck - Fun. Only did it once. Couldn't convince my daughter to come with me. With change to 42' she was able to go but she was happy with the slide, mickey pool and Nemo's reef.

Pirates Party was great. Definitely better than the Sail Away but strange not having the fireworks at the same time. We missed the fireworks because we were still having dinner at Palo.

Disembarking was painless! It didn't take long to get off the ship, find our bags and going through custom.

The worst part of the trip was the five hour plane delay due to weather but that was a small price to pay for a great trip.

I was really worried prior to going because all the challenges I had read about but I wasn't affected by any of it. My only disappointment was with my server. He wasn't slow. He just wasn't personable but the assistant server and my experience with my server at PALO made up for it!

Can't wait until Jan 2012. I want to experience the Magic before going on the Fantasy.

Sorry for the jumping around. These were some of my highlights but feel free to ask any questions.

Can you tell me a little more about brunch? Our daughter wants to do this on the Dream in October, but I would love to know what all is offered at brunch. Is it mostly breakfast food, or do they have other items as well?

They start with either a glass of champagne or mimosa. The have various pastries, fruits, breads and cheese. Another table with seafood (crab legs, shrimp, scallops. Another table with various types of salami, salad, caviar, hummus, etc. Then there were items that you would order with the server such as eggs benedict, eggs julia, chicken parm, chilled strawberry soup, etc. There is also a table of desserts.

Thank you for the info. Sounds like you had a great trip. We were on the Dream in January and we loved it. Doing a back to back in October and we are so looking forward to it.
