I have been waiting for someone to start this thread and well, being the impatient type I decide to start it myself.

My name is Mary and I will be traveling with my husband, my mother and my aunt. DH and I booked this trip a few weeks ago while sailing on the Fantasy. It was a surprise for my Mom and Aunt and it will be their first cruise. They are very excited to go and we are excited to share their first cruise with them.

So who's going with us?

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin. Other information you would like to share such as first names, ages of child participants, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, since no one has come forward to organize a FE for this cruise here on the DIS, please feel free to start the FE right in this thread.

There is certainly plenty of time to plan a FE for this cruise. All it takes is for someone to maintain a list of/for those participating which can easily be done in this thread. Cruise Meet threads have been doing it this way for years now here on the DIS. If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to contact me for some suggestions.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS where FE began years ago.

If anyone is interested I could keep a list for the fish extenders exchange and update everyone interested once a month of the list of people participating and the final list when we reach the cut off date. I could send it to you via PM or another way. Also what information does anyone else want to know and when whould be a good cut off date.Let me know Thanks!

Since no one took the lead for our FE group being impatient I took on the position of organizing the Fish Extenders for this cruise.

If anyone is interested in joining the FE group for this cruise please either post your information directly on this thread or pm (conversation) it to me(*reminder* if you have less than 10 posts you will not be able to use the PM system until you reach 10 posts. To reach that amount you can go to the DIS Technical support/test board http://www.disboards.com/forums/test-board.88/ where you can quickly and easily post one word or letter posts to get your count up to 10 posts. Now you will be able to send a PM (now called "conversation"))to start one there is a link at the upper right on every page to your "inbox" simply click on any username and a link to "start a conversation" will be available. In addition you will be able to upload images and have links in your signature. Please remember DIS does not allow links or other suggestions to FEs on other sites.

When joining please post how many people in your party are participating( ex:2 adults 1girl and 2boys) and your state room number. You can but don't have to include names, ages, favorite characters, where you are from, allergies, special occasions for you while sailing (birthdays/anniversaries/e.c.t.) and any other information you would like the FE group members to know.

If you have any suggestions for cut off dates please tell me.

I wanted to remind everyone this is meant to be a fun exchange and a way to get to know each other. Please do not feel as though you have to do something expensive or overboard. The important thing is just to have fun!

We are on this cruise and want to do the FE. There is 5 adults, all female. Our names are Joyce, Spring, Whitney, Ashley and Brittany. We will be in stateroom 8590. Spring's birthday is March 26th! This is my 7th cruise on the Dream, but the first time I've done the FE activity. I'm looking forward to it!! Thanks.

Im wondering with 5 adults, are each of you going to bring gifts or just you, Disneygranny 56?

We are going to wait to see what the final count is before we decide that. We each want to get our own gifts, but if the number is really high, we may split it 5 ways and each buy that many gifts. We have to consider the room it would take all 5 of us to bring our own if there are a lot participating. I think you are only asked to give a gift at least once to everyone. Hope the cut off date gives us enough time to know.

Yes, we need to decide if we are giving gifts once during the week or every day. I guess we will decide that once we figure out the number of people taking part. For me, I am doing this for my son. I really don't need anything. I've seen where people give one family gift and then the kids gifts, but your situation is different so we will have to figure it out!
