Hello All,

First time to Disney Dream Cruise. We booked the room next to forward elevator on Deck 9. Just wondering will this location have more motions than mid/aft sections? And will the balcony be more windy?

Thanks!

M

I am a Cast Member and have never sailed as a Guest, but from experience with crew cabins, you can sometimes get more movement in forward locations. I am not sure about the balcony because crew cabins do not have one! 😂

Thank you so much for the information! We have zero experience of cruise...And not so many rooms left now😂.

We sailed in 9034 on the Fantasy last year at the forward elevators and had more up/down motion than we liked, but it wasn't too bad. Didn't find it overly windy on the verandah either. We just sailed in 7048 on the Dream, going down 2 decks really helped and we had no motion issues at the forward elevators there.

We often stay in 8022 (or 8520) which is forward and never noticed a lot of motion or wind. In general our cruises have been pretty calm. On our most recent cruise 3 weeks ago we could feel the ship moving at times which seemed unusual to us, but not bad or disruptive. I like a motion to fall asleep to. :)

We were in a forward cabin on the Wish and excessive motion or wind on the veranda were not an issue.

Hello~~Thank you all for the responses and helpful information~ We are family of 4, and we won't change our room since limit of choices now. Our coming cruise is December to western Caribbean. I will bring anti-motion sickness medicines in case. 😺

If you want the least motion go midship lower deck like 6. There's really no benefit to being on a higher deck . You just pay more. If it's a long European cruise book close to a laundry room. You'll thank me later, laundry is a daily battle on those European cruises.
