Disney Dream - Can kids access the top deck at the front of the ship?

We are cruising on Dream this October and we were wondering with the Adults only section on the front of the ship, is there ever a time where kids can watch the ship go through the water from the front of the ship?

In my experience, kids can be up in the Satellite Falls area on the departure afternoon as the ship leaves port. But, it changes to adult only by dinner.

Adults only 24 hours a day up front after leaving port?

Yes. This is the view from the front of Satellite Falls, so you can see the ocean in front of the ship, but not the actual bow of the ship moving through the water.

I have seen kids in the Satellite Falls area on the first afternoon. You also see kids in the spa when their parents are taking a tour.

That is kind of a bummer being we liked going up front with the kids in the evenings on the Magic (one cruise) and Wonder (3 cruises) with the wind blowing in our face. I am sure there are plenty of other aspects that are better than the older ships that will make that not much of a big deal.

I appreciate that. But I have not seen a crew member asking kids to leave adult areas on the first afternoon before Sailaway when people are touring the ship.

One overlooked feature of the Wish is that you can get right up to the front of the ship on deck 6 and look out at the water. There's no crew area in the way this time.

There are signs going either way around currents to the front of the ship that say "Adult Area 18+ Only" which you have to walk by and ignore completely to get there.

That being said, I am glad everyone can access the front walkway on the Wish and go out to the front of the ship.

I had friends who went on the MV and said that the Chip n Dale pool Deck 14 is one of the best but most unknown spots.

I get that. I was just relating my experiences on the 9 Dream class cruises I have taken. Parents with children are in the Satellite Falls area and in the spa/workout room on embarkation afternoon. After we leave port, I have seen crew members ask families with children to leave Satellite Falls. I have not observed that happening before the Sailaway party. Perhaps they should and you are welcome to speak to a crew member about it on your next cruise.

At the end of the day, I'm not going to run down a crew member and ask them to ask other people to leave unless they are truly causing some sort of disturbance. I did this one time when a bunch of young "hooligans" were throwing cutlery and plates over the side of the ship while we were still at PC. That would be something to bring to their attention.

The way I try to think about it is this: We live in Florida and are fortunate enough to cruise once or twice a year. If someone brings their kid up to the front of the ship to see the incredible view, I cant fault them for that. That's something I would have loved as a kid. This may be their only cruise, let others enjoy what you enjoy as much as possible.

What about in the evening/night. I am not sure how busy the adults area on the upper decks forward/Satellite Falls is in the later evening (say 8-10pm).

This will be a fun opportunity to find a special new tradition for when you sail the Dream Class ships!

Well, the kids clubs do have open house times. The adults areas really don't.
