Heya! I'm curious- on longer sailings, does the Dream's Animator's Palate have an alternate show for the second night like they do on the Magic/Wonder? Or is it just 2 nights of the same Crush experience?

Longer meaning 5 nights? I think that's the usually the longest the Dream might do (per dclblog, there was one 6 night). Looking at those historical personal navigators, it looks like any duplicate dining room would be pirate night or the Sea Ya Real Soon dinner.

edit: Otherwise, I'm not sure if they have a 2nd show in place. I see there are 6 and 7 nights coming up, but historically I'm not sure. They might utilize the same show the Fantasy does on the second night.

Yeah, I'm specifically wondering for the 5 night I'm sailing, did not realize that was the longest it's doing right now!

Ok, gotcha, that makes sense. Thanks!

Historically, I’m not sure Dream ever did a 5-nights cruise before, or if it did, it was a long time ago. However, on the other ships, they usually do not do a second show if all guests can’t see it. That means a cruise needs to be 6 nights or longer for them to offer a second show in a dining room.

The Dream will be doing some longer cruises in 2023, tough. The Fantasy has the show where you draw characters and I'd expect the Dream to get the same show on longer cruises.

My understanding is on the 5 night sailings you’ll get each restaurant’s signature menu/experience, pirate night menu, and then a welcome aboard menu. So even if you’re in animators twice, there wouldn’t be a show on both evenings since not everyone would rotate through there twice.

I just did a 5 night on the Dream In Aug. I requested AP twice specifically for the show. THERE WAS NO SHOW. I asked my server about it thinking that maybe they were having technical difficulties or what not, and he told me that AP only has the show on the Magic and the Fantasy. Made me sad.

Wonder also has the Draw the magic show. Since Dream never did a 6-nights+ cruise before, it is unknown if the technology required is onboard. They need the scanners to parse all the drawings and the computer(s ?) to generate the final animations. As I mentioned previously, even if it was brought onboard at some point, they only offer it on cruises where all the passengers have the opportunity to experience it. It will not be shown on 5-nights cruises on the ships that have it for sure.

I wonder if they’ll add it before Europe next year, as most of those cruises are 7+ nights. I can’t see that Disney has added it already since it costs money and there was no need to have it installed on the Dream.

Unless DCL was forward-looking and knew they planned to move the Dream to different itineraries. It could have been added during the pandemic when each of the ships had a period of dry dock.

Oh ok, great to know- So I'm assuming the Welcome Aboard menu would be the first night, so whichever restaurant you're in first you won't see the normal menu/show (if applicable) until the second evening there?

I was just wondering the exact same thing!
