DISNEY DREAM 4 NIGHT 1/12/14-1/16/14 DREAMin' of a vacation at sea!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I talked to the runners in our group and my DDiL doesn't feel she's ready for a marathon or even a half marathon, but she was extremely interested in the 5K race as was DS and even other DS said he "might" try as well if he can get into shape (he's just starting to run.) That said we could find a little info about the 5K but nothing about cost. Am I looking in the right place? Also, since they've 'formalized' the 5K on Castaway Cay, is there a sign up for that as well now or is it still 'you want to run, show up'?

Hi! A far as the 5k during the alt Disney marathon weekend. The cost is $60 and should be on the Thursday of race weekend. They also added a 10k this year (6.2 miles) which should be on Friday. All events go on sale on April 9th. Google walt Disney world marathon and go to the first link, you will see everything. As far as the castaway cay 5K....it will be mentioned in the navigator the night before and they will tell you which club to meet in. They will give you your bib there and then walk you off the ship. They start line is a little further into the island and there is a clock that shows you the time. At the end, you will get your medallion. There is also an option to buy an "I did it" shirt from the island gift shop and sometimes they are available on the ship.

Hi, this will be my family's first disney cruise and we are so excited!!! We are definitely interested in doing the fish extenders. My husband and i have 3 children, they will be 5, 5 (almost 6) and 4 at time of cruise. We are traveling with my mother and father-in-law, brother and sister-in-law, their two kids (age 5 and 2 - almost 3 - at time of cruise), and one more sister-in-law. 4 rooms total. I am planning on making my girls some cute disney princess dresses and having some personalized shirts made for them and want to do anything i can to make this trip as fun and exciting as possible!!

Hi and welcome, Turner Family!! Sulley and I are cruising with our two sons and their families...three staterooms.... our grandkids will be just turned 7, 4.5, 3.5 and 19 months! The 7 year old is a girl, the rest are boys.

I checked, its set so anyone can see the group and who is in it but only members can post. That way other cruisers can find it -- that was my thinking. Does that work? If I make it "secret" no one can search for it. Whatcha think??

I know! I have started thinking about all the fun summer dresses my kids can wear and looking for disney bathing suits -- but all my ideas are for this little 4 day cruise, not for ALL of summer right around the corner.
