Disney Dolphin Encounter on Nassau- do they take pix and video?

Hi,

I love this site! You guys are the best. Anyway, a non-Disney company (Dolphin Swims) takes video and pix of your Dolphin Encounter. Does Disney do the same thing?
The info from Disney says "Take you camera" so I am thinking that they don't but I want to ask you guys before I assume something.

Has anyone been on the Dolphins Swims Encounter- good experience?

My daughter and I went on the Dolphin Encounter last July. It was WONDERFUL!!! Worth every penny. I took a video recorder and a camera, but was unable to use them. They REALLY discourage the use of your own cameras, and to ensure you put it way the first thing they do is have the dolphin (ours was named Stormy) go around the circle of people tail side out of the water and DRENCH everyone. I quickly put my cameras away. That being said I bought the video and pics they took. Really cute ones with dolphin hugs, etc. They were darling! If my scanner worked I would post a few. Warning: they were very expensive, like $130 for everything and they do NOT take your top of the world card (or whatever it's called card) Take your mastercard or cash. Some people took underwater cameras and may have gotten a few good shots, but when will you ever be there again? We still have ours pictures on our fridge and kitchen counter.

I did the Dolphin Encounter last August...You can take your cameras ..and I agree, they might get WET...they have you put all of your items in a locker and you hang your key up before you get into the "pool" area...If you are going to video..have someone from your group if possible sit accross from you and video...

They do sell a video---but it is of the WHOLE group and not just your family.
I did splurge and buy the photo package..I think it was $150 or so..but it was a REAL album with 8x10s, 5x7s and 4x6s of just me and my three kids...Clear, professional looking shots. They turned out AWESOME and since they were just of my family..there were about 50 of them..plus they gave you the extras that didn't fit in the album! I would recommend this!!

I figured we'll only do this once ....maybe kids will do it when they have kids, but i was ok justifying the photo package..

It was FUN! kids were a bit timid at first, but then smooched the dolphin like he was a cousin LOL!

Thanks for the info. I'd rather they take the pix and video so I am glad to ehar they do it.

Is lunch included?

We went on carnival , so lunch was not included..they did have food and snacks for purchase there though...

looking at disney's current excursion brochure...

it states " the amenities of blue lagoon beach day are also included in the tour price" towels will be provided..


now b.l.beach day..states you get punch on the ferry and lunch at sea garden grille
