Just wanted to wish you guys a fabulous trip! I know all of your hard work in planning will make sure of it. Can't wait until you get back and start a TR!
I can't believe we leave today! It still seems so far away because we won't actually be in WDW til tomorrow. And we arrive at midnight at the airport. But we still leave the house this afternoon. I'm so excited.
I think I've reached that point where I've stopped caring if everything is 100% perfect. I'm a perfectionist so I put all this pressure on myself. And I forget things like that we'll have car, so if I forget something, I can go buy it!
Last night my printer was having issues, so I'm sad that my planner still isn't complete. Being that this is my job to design stuff, its almost like if you were a chef, and then every night you went home and made your family a four course meal too. I have to imagine that would be fun sometimes, but other times, you just might wanna throw some pasta and sauce together, apologize, and call it dinner.
Well I'm half-or-so packed (I'm a slow packer...and cannot for the life of me pack in advance.) I'm just one of those people who can't sit around and wait for the time to leave to get here. I have to be doing something every minute up until I leave. Alot of this morning has just been
I made breakfast for DH (rare, since he's up before 6am all the time), got up about an hour earlier than when I usually get up for work - because I just plain couldn't stand to stay in bed any longer, (super unusual for me...this is the Disney adrenaline that allows me to make rope drop every day, and surprises DH how quickly I can get ready to go ), and I'm completely and totally awake. This is a rare day...this is the "leaving for Disney" day!
Ok...going to tackle my page long to do list. I believe as a joke last night, I wrote down, "make breakfast" on there - so I'm pretty excited to already cross something off. Thanks for all the trip wishes and for reading my PTR. I'm already thinking of names for my TR!
The castle. The most magical, beautiful, fantastical, memorable, loveable part of my Disney vacation is walking down main street (even if its not on the first day, since it doesn't work with plans...) and seeing that castle. I'm usually hold DH's hand so that we don't get separated in that morning rush and end up kinda skipping and jumping as we make our way to the rope. This brings tears to my eyes.
I am late returning but want to say have a GREAT time at WDW. I "lost" your PTR after reading your early pages, and didn't "find" it again till I saw your post on Judy's site.
your work on your schedules & guide is awesome. I hope you got the rest of it printed before you left.
I hope you post a TR - I think it so awesome that you are spending a day at GKTW. wahoo!
So sorry I missed your last two weeks of fun planning. Have fun and let me apologize ahead of time for the rain that will hit at the end of your trip....our black cloud is forecasted to follow us next week
Hi guys! We are having soooo much fun in WDW. The people at OKW just told me I get internet for free, even though I'm not DVC, since I'm staying on points. However, I am sooo tired from our day at GKTW! Everyone was so shocked that we were on vacation and volunteering. I guess its pretty rare - even thought its advertised on the site...Weird. So glad we got to experience it and visit with kids during kid's night out. We were able to spend time with a ten year old kid from Minnesota - glad it was me and DH since she wasn't much of a girly-girl like her sister. Oh well, we had lots of fun.
For those that know nothing about GKTW, its for Make-a-wish families and other organizations that help send kids to DisneyWorld/Universal/SeaWorld on all expense paid "wish trips" for familes that have a kid, or kids, with illnesses, disabilities, and other issues that otherwise keep them from a place like Disney. Many of these kids are told no, and at GKTW they are doing whatever they wanna do, whenever they wanna do it and no one ever tells them no or that they have to pay for anything. In fact, no money is exchanged anywhere on property! Its almost entirely run by volunteers!
Anyway, we are having fun, and looking forward to MK tomorrow morning. I've already come up with a few names for my TR...including a Dining TR called, "Can I have a side of XYZ and by side, I mean plate full"
Thanks for all the trip wishes and pixie dust. Can't wait to share the magic with all of you.
I haven't missed the TR have I??? Or the New PTR for Ocotober???? I am still here, ready to read when you gave time, I can only imagine how busy you have been!!

Nope, you haven't missed it...since I haven't started it yet! I haven't started an October PTR either because frankly, I just don't have the time right now! Plus our plans keep changing for the trip! I am working on my dining report though - its coming along slowly. Its located here. I haven't been to your thread forever, I must be really behind. Hope the plans are coming along well!
Oh, and I'm also helping two other people help plan their trips. One is a group of 10, including four kids under the age of eight, going over thanksgiving week! So thats taking some time...hahahaha. But I enjoy it!
