Disney Discovery Club

We have just been reading through our Members' Guidebook and noticed a section on the "2Dc - the Disney Discovery Club" for kids. Does anyone know if this Vacation Club kids activity is available at VWL?

I can only speak for Vero, which definately has 2DC. The cost is $35 per child per night and they take your kids from 5-9 pm and do all sorts of fun stuff with them and feed them dinner so Mom & Dad can enjoy an evening alone. Not sure if the WDW properties have it as we are always in the parks and have never noticed if it is offered.

Hi StephenKay They have on site child care and activities at WL, I think it's called "The Cubs Den". They also have lots of regular schedule group activities for the kids throughout the week.
I think the official site has some info on this. Also when you check in you get a "Newspaper" with a listing of whats going on during your stay.

OKW had a 2DC program a few years ago. Our kids loved it -- and my wife and I had a chance to go to Epcot without the kids, including dinner at a restaurant that they wouldn't have liked.

Alas, when we returned for our next visit to OKW, the 2DC program had been discontinued, and we haven't seen it offered there since.

As far as I know, Disney's Wilderness Lodge still offers the Cub's Den, an evening group childcare program for children aged 4-12. It's been a few years since we had our kids in the Cub's Den one evening while my wife and I enjoyed the California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. At that time, the kids' program included dinner, games, and a zoologist who brought animals from the now-closed Discovery Island.

WE use to go 2DC at OKW a few years ago. My kids always go to 2DC at Vero and it is great. Every year they ask to go and a couple of days before we go to vero, I will call down there to find out when 2DC is available. JP
