Does this sound like you?
Something changes and suddenly I'm questioning everything or, trying desperately to get that all but impossible last minute reservation!
For us the change came recently when sadly my brother and SIL needed to cancel their trip due to down sizing at his company. We'll miss them terribly!
Thankfully with Disney's new option to change numbers on reservations we were able to decrease all of our dining from 6 to 2 people.
But then....the question...My SIL loves Kona so we were going there for her (and the pineapple bread!!). My DD and I want to go to 'Ohana instead.
And so begins....Disney Dining Reservation Juggling!
I have narrowed it down to 4 days that we could go to 'Ohana. 3 of those days are not ideal but with maneuvering of parks, FP+ and hurrying from the airport we could go any of those days. The one day we really want to go and just swap our Kona for 'Ohana there's nothing coming up even though I've looked no less than 200 times over the past month!
The reason I'm calling it juggling is because I have been able to secure 'Ohana reservations for the other less than ideal days and keep changing and moving those around. Letting one go and picking up another slightly better one.
I wonder how many people are juggling with me and holding onto a 'less than ideal' reservation with hopes that the one you really want will open up? No wonder making dining reservations requires time and patience...and quite possibly a slight bit of the determination we see in those amazing Olympic athletes!!
- Park days planned almost a year out using lots of crowd calendar resources - check!
- 180 days out, online at 6am and secure all dining ressies that we want! Bonus!! - check!
- 60 days out FP+ ressies booked around dining reservations - check!
