Disney Dining Question

For some of the character breakfasts, it says you get a 20% discount for disney dining. What I'm wondering is do you use your table service meal for the day to get the 20% discount or do you just get the discount and you still get to use the table service meal for someplace else??? TIA!!!

Are you talking about the Disney Dining Experience? Or the Disney Dining Plan?

As Aimeedyan indicated, there are two different/separate dining plans which you may be confusing.

The Disney Dining Experience is a card that can be purchased by annual and Florida passholders. It provides a 20% discount on most meals and beverages.

The Disney Dining Plan is sold as part of a room/ticket package and it provides credits for one table service meal, one counter service meal and one snack per person per day. A gratuity is not included in the Disney Dining Plan.
