Hey everyone! I'm curious to know if anyone has any tips or snack ideas to get the most out of using the Dining Plans.

Thanks!

My biggest tip is to eat what you want, not necessarily the best value. I see so many people want to get the most "bang for your buck", meaning the most expensive things they can get at each place. That's fine if you really WANT that $40 steak. But if you'd rather have the $25 chicken, go for it! If you'd rather eat at Trail's End where the buffet is cheaper than Chef Mickey's do it! On the other hand, this is the one time I don't blink when my son orders the $40 seafood dish. Any other time, he'd get "the look" but not while on the dining plan.

The best value for any meal or snack is getting exactly what you want!

There is a post on the boards that details all of the available snacks for the DDP. I believe that you can find it by searching 2014 dining plan snacks. It breaks down all of the snacks available by park. My wife copied this into a PDF file so that she could pull it up on her phone when we were at WDW. It was really eye opening because last year we spent a lot of snack credits on things like water, but with the list you can see some pretty significant items that are available for snacks.:cool1: I would post a link, but I'm not that great with technology. I'm sure somebody else who is more computer proficient might be able to link the thread for you.:)

Great Thanks ya'll! We have done the dining plan before but wasted a lot of credits. I figured there would already be a thread about this, but posted it regardless.

Thanks!

Are you talking about making snack credits a meal?

We are light breakfast people, snack credit lunch people or quick service and table service dinner people.

Basically it all has to do with planning. If we don't get free dinning we price out the avg price of what we will eat where we plan to eat and then see if they dinning plan fits. normally use the dinning plan as a 75-80 percent pre-payed plan if it isn't freeish.

We have a harder time using the quick service part of the plan, then the table service and snacks.

A perfect plan for our family would be 2 table service and two snacks per day.

I would love to be able to buy table service and snacks credits individually instead of a plan.
