Disney Dining Plan and DVC

We are DVC members and season pass holders. We have no interest in tables of the world.

We are staying in a one bedroom villa with a total of 5 - 3 children but adult based on Disney ages.

Question - Can I purchase the dining plan for 4 people in the room and pay cash for the 5th.

I know when you purchase a package everyone has to have the same dining plan but that's not true for DVC correct?

I think everyone in the room has to be on the dining plan or not. I don't think you can break it up.

Nope. Even for DVC, everyone in the room must be on the plan. The only way around it would be to add the fifth person at check-in, but they you'd loose the advanced planning benefits for that person.
