Disney Dining Plan and children's ages

Our DD's 10th birthday is in July and our DVC ressie is for August. I know children are charged adult rates at that age. She is neither a large or adventurous eater. Does Disney verify children's ages? We go every year so I'm not sure if they keep track.

It is DIS policy not to advocate for violating Disney's rules. If your child is 10, please pay for her admission and dining as if she is 10.

The DDP rate is linked to rates as is the park passes. Her age is her age.
