Does anyone know if these two can be used together? Would you need to purchase a one-day ticket in conjunction with the room and special tickets in order to use the DDP? I've seen lots of conjecture, but no real answers. :confused3

I just booked 5 nights using the 40% military rate with the dining plan with no park tickets. You aren't allowed to buy tickets with this package and you can only get the quick service or basic dining plan. Hope that answers your question! :thumbsup2

I called the first day, the CM did not have the code to add dining. I gave them the code from the DIS boards and it worked perfect. She thanked me for the code. So yes, 40% off plus dining, no tickets needed!

Can you tell me what that code is? I have the rooms reserved using the 40% military special but have not added DDP yet. They had trouble when I called back. Thanks in advance!

I would also love the code for the dining plan & 40% off Shades of Green rates. Is it MYV or is this another one?

MYV - Room Only
EAN - Quick service dining
FNB - Basic Dining

I do not think the 40% off can be applied to Shades of Green rooms, just Disney Resorts.

Call soon though, you just have to put a $200 depoit down. The rooms are going to fill fast at the discount. It is better to get something now.

I was also able to purchase a package that included just room reservations and the basic dining plan without needing a ticket. The CM my husband spoke to said that they were all getting used to what could and couldn't be done with this deal so I'd suggest hanging up and calling back to find one who knows how to do it if the CM you speak to isn't sure.

Also, I don't think the Dining Plan is available at Shades of Green (ever) and the 40% off doesn't apply to it either. We priced out SOG versus CSR, though, and CSR with the discount was less expensive. And we could add the Dining Plan at CSR so win/win.

Wait...please clarify! We booked our rooms using the 40% military rate and initially declined to add the dining plan because we weren't familiar with it. Are you telling me that we ALSO get a % off our dining plans using these codes??

No discount on dining but thse codes allow you to add dining without have to buy park tickets along with it. Normally the only wayou can add dining is to also purchase at least 1 day of park tickets.

This just allowss you to ake advantage of the 40% plus adding dining, which is a good deal if you plan on doing a lot of sidown or character dining.

We are acutaly considering canceling the dining because we booked Club Level in Poly which offers a lot of food and drinks that are included in the club. We also can't find 9 sit down restaurants that we want to eat out.

With only having 5 days at the parks I do not want to have to stop every day for a sit down meal.

We also have decieded not to add the water park and more option. Instead we are going to buy the discounted tickets for $30 and just be able to use them on a 6th day instead of taking one of our 5 days away.

Thank you...that helps so much! (I figured there must have been some way that we could add the dining plan with the military tickets or the guy wouldn't have offered it knowing that we would get mil tickets when we got there and not in a package.)

If you include the water parks and more on the military tickets you will get 5 days at water parks/disney quest and they will not take you park days away- in other words you can have 10 days in parks- 5 in the water parks/disneyquest and 5 in the main parks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION!!!! I just assumed that it would take away a day.

YEAH!!!

OK, I thought you had lost your rocker when I read this...so, I called to double check! You are SOOO right! How is that possible? Do they give you additional tickets? Can someone explain to me how this works? I assumed I would have to buy additional tickets for the extra 2 days we'll be staying there! Holy hannah!:cheer2:

TOO FUNNY! I thought the OP was off their rocker too!!! We were totally doing the happy dance afte getting off the phone with Disney yesterday after reading this.

This is how it was explained to me from a wdw cm.....

She said basically think of it as 2 seperate tickets (even though it is not).

You have 5 days to visit the 4 main theme parks as you see fit

You also have 5 "visits" to the water parks and Disney Quest. This part of your ticket you can't "hop" even if you bought the park hopper option.

So for example...If you go to a water park and Disney Quest on the same day that takes 2 of your 5 visits away from your 5 visit total.

If you go to Magic Kingdom and Disney Quest on the same day that is 1 theme park day and 1 "visit" (from the water park and more option) taken away.

So in theory you can up to 10 days of stuff to do with the military ticket plus the water park and more option.
I hope this makes sense?
