i was just wondering how i can get the disney dining experience card:confused: i have the annual passes that disney gave to us, but i am not going to activate them til we get down there for our wedding, so right now they are just vouchers. Group reservations told me in order to get the dining experience card our passes had to be activated, and that it would take 2-3weeks after that to get:confused: Just wondering how you guys went about getting your dining experience card??? I dont want to activate my annual pass vouchers now, but i def want the dining cards HELP PLEASE!!! I am soo confused:mad:

DH and I are FL residents and have FL Resident Passes that we never let expire, so we just bought the DDE card over the phone. It took close to 4 weeks to recieve it and we were getting worried - it came in just one week before the wedding and we sepcifically got it for the rehearsal dinner, day-after brunch, and our dining on our Disneymoon. It did save us a lot of money :thumbsup2 I think the CM you spoke to is correct, you will need to activate your Pass to order the DDE and it takes awhile to get it. You can use a letter they send you before the card arrives to get the discount, but even the letter takes a few weeks to get. Sorry - good luck!

i am so confused now because i spoke with a woman over at the Dining Experience and she said she could just take the info off the back of my annaul pass vouchers to get me the dining card, but told me to wait til later because my wedding is not til august:confused3 i just dont want to wait and then hear that it cant be done and that i have to activate the annaul passes:confused: UGH!!!! Has any other brides applied for the dining card before they activated the annual pass vouchers??

ok guys, so i just called the dining experience again to double check, and yes they can use the numbers on the back of the annual pass vouchers to apply for the dining card:cool1: so you dont have to activate the annual pass vouchers. yay!!! I am excited now! Since i am not getting married til the end of august they told me to call after july 9th so that the dining card will be valid through August 31st of the following year. Also, they said if the card dont arrive before i leave for my wedding to call them and they will issue a temp card, and have it waiting for me when i get there:goodvibes just wanted to let you guys know;) i called twice to confirm so i am believing it to be true!! Let me know if any of you have done this or has had any problems with doing this:) Thanks for the help

That's good to know! We're also going to do an AP, but didn't want to activate it until we got down there.

That is what we did. We had activated our passes in August for our planning session and I ordered the card after Nov. 9th so it would be good through Dec. 31st of this year. (not that it matters now that we'll be staying in NJ for the holidays this year...). Anyway, we didn't receive the card in time and so the extremely nice lady on the other end of the phone had a temp one waiting for us at Guest Services (any park). We went to Epcot our first day and picked it up. We received our real card when we got home. It is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo worth the money. We took my family out to Boma's and in one meal saved $5 less than what we had paid for it. After that it was a bonus!!!
