Im sure this has been asked but I can not find the thread:

We are coming back the end of march for 7 days/6 nights...can we get the deluxe dining for 3days instead of buying the regular dining for 6 days?

HELP!!!!

thanks

Only if you book two different reservations. For example if you book Poly for nights 1-3 w/ dxdp and tickets and then Poly for room only for 3 nights.
You can buy enough tickets to use for your entire stay. The catch is that the dxdp credits would be good for day 1 through your first check out day at midnight. (Plus there is the added snag of you might have to change rooms.)

Most likely not worth the hassel unless you really only want the dining plan for part of your trip.

I forgot to add that we are dvc members, dont know if that makes a difference! thanks

It does. If you're staying on points, you can book multiple "segments", each with its own dining plan, as part of a single reservation.

Unless you are a DVC member and you book your trip in "segments," or unless you make two separate resort reservations (one with the plan and one without), you cannot get a dining plan for part of your stay.

You would need to book the trip through DVC member services in "segments" and link them to do this. The segments will be grouped under the same reservation number. You would not have to check out and back in again.

If you already have the trip booked, I believe you would have to cancel it and rebook it in segments. Like any other time, there must be availability for you to rebook.

That means if you want the plan every other night, you must book each day of your stay as a segment.

I never thought of doing this. We were going to stay longer but didn't want to pay for the DxDP for the extra days so maybe we'll just resort hop and do a DDP or QSDP for the remaining days

If you are on a package reservation and you are not an annual passholder, you will have to buy some form of park ticket on both reservations of a split stay to get a dining plan on both.
