So me and my fiance will be spending 3 nights in Disney for our honeymoon before our cruise. I already booked the restaurants we will be eating at and was wondering if the Disney deluxe dining plan is smart for us since it falls inline with our reservations. We will be eating at Art Smiths Homcomin' for lunch and Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner on day 1, Coral reef for lunch and Le Cellier for dinner day 2, and Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and California Grill for dinner day 3. Looking at the prices of these restaurants its seem like its a good deal to get the deluxe dining plan but have never done Disney dining plan before. Any suggestion or tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks

This is a math exercise. Set up a spreadsheet. You already know where you want to eat, factor in what you plan on eating. What is the price of meals and tax oop vs meal plan

Time is another factor. Allow 3-4 hours per day eating. Maybe more w transportation.

If that is where you are eating I would do it. You are doing it right eating a signature each day thus not trying to eat 3 meals. I also like the piece of mind of having the food paid for. Like Pumbaa said though just look over them menu and make sure what you are wanting to eat is on the higher end of the menu. If you are just going to get salad or appetizers then the cost doesn't make sense. I love your restaurant selections. Have a great trip.

If you would like to order appetizer, entree, dessert and an adult beverage then you will get your monies worth out of the plan. I have a solo trip planned in February with dlxdp and my dining is very similar to yours above. I come out ahead by about $300.00. This is without picking the most expensive items on the menus, but choosing what I would really like to have. Check out the menus on allears and see if the math makes sense for you.

Keep in mind dining plan doesn't include gratuity.

As Pumbaa said, this is 100% about doing the math and a spreadsheet would be helpful.

It works for us with breakfast and a signature meal each day but you do have to look at the menus and do the calculations
