Disney dangled the visual weinee and Mickeystoontowns gang gobbled it up! Our two week adventure!
Howdy folks! Welcome to the latest Mickeystoontown Walt Disney World trip report! For all of my old Dis friends, its good to see ya again!
For any new readers, its good to see you too!
You know, theres only so much one can say when describing their family. I mean, seriously, unless theres a major change from one trip report to the other, the intros are pretty much the same. So, Im going to cheat a bit and copy part of the introductions that I made in my pre-trip report.
First, there's our son, Hunter, who has celebrated 15 of his 17 birthdays at Walt Disney World. (The other two were a near miss by just two and a half months.) Hunter turned 17 on the day that we left our hometown and headed to Walt Disney World. He's super talented and can play just about any instrument by ear and is first chair viola in the orchestra.
Hunter is also a prankster and keeps us in stitches 24/7. If there were anybody who you'd think would be an actor and/or stand-up comedian, it's Hunter. He thinks fast on his feet and can come up with one-liners before you can blink an eye.
The man of the family is my husband, John. John and I own a cabinet shop which is operated right on our property but, several years ago, he went back to work full time for a commercial cabinet shop where he used to work. John is an outdoorsman and enjoys working in the yard and in the garden. Sweating like crazy and working until he is worn completely out is like therapy to him. John suffers from epilepsy and, unfortunately, it does effect our everyday life. But, it is what it is and the good Lord helps us through it so we deal. I mean, what else are we to do?
Then, there's me, Lisa, a/k/a Mickeystoontown. I work at a law office that specializes in domestic/family law. I'm a lover of all things Disney and am in constant Disney trip planning mode. Did anybody know that it's just 343 days until we are back in Disney? My hobbies include working in the garden, sewing both Disney and non-Disney themed backsacks and little girls' dresses (if any of you are interested, let me know ), camping and, basically, anything that includes the outdoors. I am definitely a tomboy but I like my sparkly jewelry. Oooooh shiny!

In the past, some of our annual Walt Disney World trips have included my 80 year old mother, our daughter, Lacey, and our son-in-law, Jesse. However, after last years trip, Mama decided that would be her last one with us. She said that she simply isnt a Spring chicken anymore and didnt think that she could withstand another long trip. Lacey and Jesse were booked to go with us but had to cancel their portion of the trip when real life snuck up on em and they had to buy a new vehicle. As we told the semi-newlyweds at the time, Sometimes being a grown up sucks! and they agreed wholeheartedly.
Even though the kiddos wont be traveling with us, I thought that Id share our annual Christmas picture:

Because Mama wasnt going and Lacey & Jesse had to cancel, the group was down to just the three of us, the three Amigos, the three Cabelleros, actually, were more like the three Stooges if I wanna be honest with you.
This was our 20th trip to Disney and it covers a span of fifteen days, fourteen of which were spent at Disney. If you have read my reports before, you know that we are a lively bunch and we like to have fun together. Ive been told that my reports are entertaining, in part, because we hold nothing back and I write all about it. My reports are also lengthy...Im talking they go on forever because, like I said, I write about everything and have pictures to prove it. If you are new to my reports, dont say that I didnt warn you.
This trip report may or may not include some mistranslated words which cause giggle fits, wildlife that makes an appearance where its not wanted and the utterance of I wonder if people ever get caught doing this.
Oh and I almost forgot to say something. I have made a lot of friends on the Disboards (some of which will make an appearance in this report) and love makin new ones. If you are a reader (new or old), please feel free to post. Dont just sit out there in lurkdom. Its not near as fun as chattin!
Now, yall go on and get a cup of coffee, or a coke or whatever tickles your fancy, because this is going to be one heckofa ride!
