I got so excited for a minute because at that price we would definitely do it...BUT, of course, none of the dates work for us. If they'd just add a friday in there...

For your frustration to be valid a #ThanksShanghai MUST be included in the sentence. Because, ya know, anything and everything that isn't perfect is obviously thanks to Shanghai ;)

Where was this announced and how do you get tickets? I cant find anything on the Disney Blog?

So were you trying to get a refund on the ticket you already used or one you already purchased but haven't used yet?

already used, I figured what's the harm in asking.. of course they said no. I did get the 50% off for the next set and the only reason I'm going again.

Thanks. That is what I was thinking. I have tickets for next Saturday, 5/8. I'm going to call in the morning to see if I can get a refund. They did for Club Villain so hopefully they will for this too. We'll see I guess.

Just my opinion and everyone vacations and does what is right for them...

But I am hoping Disney chokes on this and it does not meet expectations for revenue. The more we accept additional charges, the more they will be having more special event pricing. Maybe an extra $50 bucks for prime seating for Fireworks, or $75 for a parade and fireworks. $20 bucks for the front seats of SDMT. $5.00 for a soda and an additional $3.00 for a cup to hold the soda...ice is an additional charge, of course they could have soft drink package for each park...$40 bucks a day, they insert an RFID in your lip and the soda will only pour into your mouth, sorry I digress. Now back to the thread. :tilt:

I think it should be a $75 price point for everyone. But I'm not running the show. I was asked about price points on a survey last summer. I wonder if those surveys were sending out feelers leading up to all these special events?

hmmm.... or they could have something where the park just stays open late and not charge you anything above the regular price, maybe they could call it extra magic hours! :jester:

Disney just announced that they will be offering a 50% discount for pass holders for a Disney After Hours event ticket, bringing the price to just $75. I definitely would take advantage of it at that price, so I guess I'm turning on you guys. Sorry!

Def. can't say that Disney doesn't know how to make money...ca-ching....they now have us excited about how great of deal we're getting to only spend $75.00 for a few hrs. at night at MK. They are good at the game.

But $75 makes sense to me. It puts it in line with MNSSHP and MVMCP. You're getting 25 attractions, snacks and drink, and lower crowds. If it continues to follow suit, it's no lines.

EMH is still available on other days. Yes, there are less EMH, but it's been a downward trend for a few years, so it's kind of been anticipated.

First two nights it was an empty park with a few paying and lots of free tickets. Almost everyone is now thinking this is a great deal, does that mean the end of walk on rides?

Even at 3000 people, the longest you would probably wait is 10-15 minutes at most. I would pay $75 for that still. I wish I went more often to do this event. AP's are super expensive unless your going 10 plus days or something close to that.

It's smart on disney's part. AP holders are paying the extra for the three hrs. Getting in at 7 adds no value for them.

We do have AP's. We tend to do a couple of trips in one yr, skip a yr or so, then repeat. I know my DD and family would probably jump at this price. And we would watch the youngest grandchild. But that's ok, we hardly ever see 10 pm with our eyes open, never mind running around parks.
