Hi Folks,
I thought this would be best under Cruise Reports. Let me know if I'm wrong.
I wrote this for my daughter who really loves the Disney Cruise.
Each 4 line paragraph is in a notebook with 2 blank pages. She has been making pictures to match the paragraphs theme. This is her favorite book, and we read it at least 3 times a day. If I was an editor, it would be better, if I was an Illustrator, it would be awesome. It makes a short book but she remembers the good times. If Disney had one of these for each ship and park she visited, our book case would be full of all the adventures. Needless to say, I create our own and let the kids do the illustrations. Maybe you can do the same for your kids, they love seeing their names in a book. Its not perfect, but it is me....
Title: The Disney Cruise
Theres a six year old princess named Melanie,
That loves to cruise on the ships by Disney.
Fly into Orlando and then a special bus,
They travel to Port Canaveral, with a driver named Gus.
The process to check in is done in a breeze
Then a picture with Pluto, Melanie says cheese.
There is a ship model, it has such detail,
Everyone is excited, today we sail.
She rushes so quickly through the mouse ear door,
A family photo with little brother is always a chore.
Crew member named Sisi announces our boarding,
There is Mickey the sailor, the ship he is steering!
Onto an elevator, deck nine the destination,
First the buffet lunch, and Mickey Slide with jubilation.
Melanie says, Our stateroom is best,
Off to the Safety Drill, wearing her life vest.
The send off celebration is just the beginning,
Great music, more characters, and everyone dancing.
Melanie blows bubbles and cheers with delight,
The Disney horn tune blasts the party to new heights.
At dinner the servers from all over the world,
Promise excellent service, and bring smoothies so cold.
A Magical Variety Show sends the ship on its way,
Chocolates on the pillow, towel sculptures end the day.
Melanies excited today is at sea,
The Navigator is endless, good planning is key.
Mickey Pool is a blast, and so is the slide,
An ice cream at Scoops, then an elevator ride.
Next stop deck five, for kids it was built,
The Oceaneers Club has games that dont tilt.
Computers and movies and projects galore,
Make flubber and friends, just go through the door.
In Parrot Cay a character breakfast takes place,
Meet Mickey and Minnie, see Melanies smiling face.
The restaurant is festive a show they provide,
The napkins are waving, her brothers by her side.
A day off the boat Melanie likes to explore,
Theres swimming and snorkeling and shopping galore.
Lots of excursions like tours and activities,
Melanies favorites have beaches and palm trees.
Melanies family scattered to the ships corners,
Mom to the spa, and Chandler to Flounders.
Sports deck for Jason, and adult pool for Dad,
With all you can do, everyone is so glad.
The Atrium is majestic, and the center of activity,
Characters pose, get a picture with Mickey!
A chandelier hangs so artistic and brilliant,
The staircase is grand, the smiling is constant.
Melanie says, This vacation is best!
She goes day and night without any rest.
When its time to leave, she says with a tear,
Mommy and Daddy, why cant we live here?
