Our daughter was one of the brides who found a photographer to travel along on the cruise for a stateroom!!!!!! She booked the photog a category 12 I believe a standard inside room and she is getting I believe 6 hours a CD of ALL her Pictures a coffee table book and a web site. I think that is everything she is getting in return for the stateroom.

The more I think about it, the more it would make more sense to see if Randy would be willing to do that. I mean, who doesn't want a free vacation?!?!? I was planning on having him do pictures separately when we got back anyways. Now I just have to convince DH that we can do this.

For now, Onboard VR are $1500, VR's are $1K less than weddings.

Even for 2010/2011?? I thought I read in an earlier post that they were going up?? Are VR's not, just weddings?? That would be AWESOME!!!!

Maybe someone posted this but I got a voicemail from Brie that the 2010 pricing is out and emails will be coming within the week. On boards wedding are now 2500 and CC is 3500. Those are all the details I have.

$2500/$3500 is the price now too, right? So i would think that VR prices are staying the same too.

If you can go in October..it is cheaper than December..

also, the Country Inn was $150 for the cruise package (free parking for the week)..I don't think I have seen a hotel in PC for less than $125 and that was last year..My mom is a senior and we got the over 65 rate.

I talked to Bre this morning. My son and future DIL are getting married onboard the Wonder during the Labor Day cruise 2010. The prices are staying the same, but they are no longer doing the marriage license. They will give you the form and tell you the company to deal with but they are no longer going to be the middleman. This means essentially that the price is going up $225-250. I checked the web site for the company that Disney now uses and the cost of the marriage license is $225 with a $25 initiation fee. I don't think this is too bad of a jump. Disney still provides the notary before you board and everything that is listed. She also said she doesn't think the photography package is changing. She did also say that the charge for extra guests will now be $20 per person and does not include drinks for the toast. There will be no charge for those 3 and under.

Do you guys think it's weird to do a VR that's not around your actual wedding anniversary??

You can get a Florida marriage license by mail for just the $97 actual cost of the license (i.e., no added service charges or initiation fees) through Brevard County, so you don't even need to use this service.

not at all..we did our VR when our cruise was booked with our friends..if our cruise had been booked in April..we would have done it then.

Dodle -make sure it is $20/person..I was told $10 per person but it was actually $100 for 11 - 20..flat..I had 5 people and was charged $100, not $50

lurkyloo, thanks for the info and the link. That will save some money.
DisneyDmbNut, the flat $100 was for this year, next year the price is $20 per person over 10, according to Bre. That's still not that much of a jump.

I just spoke to Brie and in 2010 the VRs are considered the same as a wedding. So, they are now charging $2500 and $3500. :sad2:

Wow, that's quite a jump for VRs :scared1:. I thought that there might still be a slim chance that we'd be able to do this next year but definitely not at these new prices :sad1:.

not to discourage other potential brides/vr ladies...but if I knew a year ago what this would really be like...i'd have never done it. I'm not happy with the DCL option at all. And now that a CC wedding/VR is $3500....for just $1k i'd go with the Escape option and have a LOT more control over what i got.

i kinda agree..I just told DH that I would not pay $2500 for what we had...I loved, loved, loved my wedding and I didn't really have any issues..but $2500?? Nope

Well...that really sucks!!! I thought that with it being $1500 I might have had a shot talking DH into a VR, but at $2500 I seriously doubt it. For that much I might as well have an Escape and get more of what I really want.

EXACTLEY!! You don't have any say at all in the DCL package. it's just wrong.
