Hi All.

Does anyone do the Art of Disney cross stitch kits anymore? I used to see a lot of postings on here with people talking about them and sharing patterns, but not anymore. I am still working on mine, and loving them. I have finished 35th Anniversary, Happiest Celebration on Earth, and Mistletoe Kiss. I am currently working on Self Portrait. (am still in desperate need of a copy of Preening Pixie if anyone has it).

Just thought I would see what everyone was doing. I have also joined a yahoo group that is for Disney Cross stitch...it is a lot of fun and if anyone is interested in joining let me know and I will get you the info.

Hugs,

Hi, I would love the info on the yahoo group. I have completed Mickey salutes America and have love puppy 90% complete. I also have about 70% completed Tink with Cinderellas castle. Those fireworks kill me.

Hi there -

I am kind of new here. I have a couple of questions and comments regarding the Disney cross stitch kits.

I live in AZ, so Disneyland is the closest park to me. We are going this weekend for Halloween (YEAH!!!!). Can I get the Stoney Creek Disney cross stitch kits there? If so, what store? I have been dying to get my hands on them and stitch. I am an avid cross stitcher. I have been trying to get them off eBay, but they are marked so high, and of course, not all of them are on there. I did find someone overseas that have put all the charts on a CD in PDF format and she is sending it over here to me. I will let you all know how that turns out.

Unlike most people, though, I would much rather have the kit. So, if anyone is willing to part with their Disney kits, I don't have any of them, so I would be willing to buy any one of them - I want them all!

If you don't want to sell, I have a cross stitch store and I am a reseller for Dimensions, Janlynn and Bucilla. Janlynn makes all the Disney cross stitch kits usually. I would be willing to trade anything for any of the Stoney Creek Collection kits. This includes the Dimensions Gold Collection kits, which are worth about the same dollar amount.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Missy

Missy,

The Stoney Creek website has purchasing information if you don't see
the kits at DL. I can't tell you if DL has the kits - I haven't been
there in 40 years! :rotfl2:

Have fun on your trip!

HTH!

I am working on the Self Portrait but am only about 10% into so far...haven't picked it up in a while. That will be my plan for the weekend, to work on that piece when I have some free time instead of my crocheting, scrapbooking or stamping:).

Thanks for the info on the Yahoo group, joined but haven't gotten over there much. Will have to check it out this weekend too.

Happy Halloween everyone!!

Does anyone have/remember seeing a 50th Anniversary cross stitch w/o the characters? I was at WDW for the 50th and didn't get the cross stitch and have since not been able to find it anywhere! There is a poster and a throw that match (which we did get). They are kind of purple in color. Really pretty!

I have completed Self Portrait and have been working on the one with Walt and Mickey for quite a while. I love the Art of Disney cross stitchs. They are VERY time consuming, but the end result is so much better than the ones you get at Michaels or JoAnns.

Belle,
I don't remember seeing the chart without the Characters. I have the one with the Characters. Sorry

where are you finding your patterns, i love to cross stitch and disney stitching is the best of both worlds:woohoo: however, i am having a terrible time locating either kits or patterns. I have found a picture I like and wondered about buying a pattern creator. I would love some info on where and how to locate these patterns.

I've found them on ebay, Michael's or JoAnn's.

The best ones (Stoney Creek) are at the parks, usually with Art of Disney on the package. They take a long time to do (at least for me), but they are really great when you get them done. Some people are selling them on ebay. They retail for $40 (kit). stoneycreek.com will show you what ones they have done. If you are interested in those ones. You may be able to call or email WDW to purchase if you aren't going to the parks anytime soon.
