Disney corporate reputation drops significantly in new Harris poll

A new Harris poll shows Disney's corporate reputation has fallen from being ranked 37th last year to 65th now, a drop of 28 spots since last year.

I don't think I understand. This is a measure of corporate reputation, not the quality of their goods or services.

Chik-fil-A dropped 27 points, and PepsiCo 24 points, in the same year, but both are still widely patronized.

There are lots of people who had trips delayed multiple times and have re-scheduled it, so current demand is not necessarily a good sign of satisfaction with Disney. I think what the poll tells you is that people don't think of Disney as highly as they once did. There are a number of reasons for that, but I think Disney's skyrocketing prices (particularly in the parks) is one big reason.

Are there enough people who don't care about the cost that Disney can keep selling out the parks and ignore all the people who can no longer afford to go? Maybe.

There are plenty of rich people that can afford to go especially if folks from abroad come over.

There is a lot of media hate for Disney. I won't go into details, but I take these surveys with a grain of salt.
