Disney College Program In California

Ok so my arrival date is aug.26 and I have no Idea what to expect. Is anyone else going to cali? What will it be like and what should i take? Im gonna be outside food and beverage or something like that. Im worried about not knowing anyone and who my roommates will be and if we will get along and be friends. What is the money like? Will I have a good amount left after paying rent and gas and stuff? What are the courses like?
Sorry for asking so many questions but I need to know everything with details. Oh and is there a way to make friends before I get there or is this it?

Congraulations, our daughter did the CP a few years ago at WDW. What an experience we lived through her eyes, plus the 3 trips we made to see her. We're from Ohio an we and her were homesick for each other. Hers started off bad, her check in date was Sept 11, Tower day but all went smooth. She roomed with six other girls and made fiends real easy. Pay is terrible and we sent her money to suppliment her income so she could enjoy this once in a life time experience. She and her roommates played constantly in the parks after hours, where better, free admission, CM, and everything under the sun. She really enjoyed the perks, beanies, coupons given on payday, use them all and don't be she. Her shpping discounts were fantastic and behind scene shopping is better yet, property control, company D, not sure is DL has the same but ask. There was so much she learned and alot she didn't know about so ask everyone and anyone. She has made friends for life, it's like a secret cult, once a Disney CM, all our your brothers and sisters and friend forever. You'll be alittle shy, scared and timid at first but you'll find out those months will fly by and its all over so make a name for yourself and enjoy it to its fullest.
