I love the pillows at AKV and meant to write down the phone number from the brochure about the bedding while I was there. Is there anyone there now who can post it for me? TIA :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes

I'm assuming the ones they use in the resorts are the Ultra-Rest. I'm pretty sure they weren't gel, and I know they weren't down, but does anyone know for sure?

My husband and I actually love the mattress in the disney resort collection, so when we were ready to purchase we got the name of if and went shopping. We wound up buying the most recent "model" of the mattress (king size - not through disney resort collection site though), as the one on the resort collection website was the older model. It's WONDERFUL. Now I can have the amazing comfortable sleep like I do when I'm at my home away from home!

Maybe when you call they can tell you? I agree that they are not the gel or down. We were at AKV in May and then moved to the Polynesian. The latter had gel pillows. But it's not clear to me whether all WDW resorts use the pillows in the collection. Please let us know if you discover more.

DeeCee, can you tell me what "model" you bought and where you purchased it? We love the mattresses too. My searches indicated that the Sealy mattresses disney uses were made strictly for the hotel industry.

Thanks!!

I agree that all resorts may not use them. I moved from AKV to VWL, and the pillows didn't seem to be the same. However, they were from the same manufacturer (which happens to be just 20 miles from me). If I can't find out when I call, I may see if I can contact the manufacturer directly :thumbsup2

I'll let everyone know what I find out.

I love the pillows at BCV and after our last stay there in May, I ordered two of the pillows from the Disney Resort Collection. I wasn't sure which one to get so I ordered the least expensive and the gel pillow. They are not the same as the ones at BCV. I wrote down the info on the tag on the pillows at BCV and the manufacturer is different. I didn't keep the info but I do remember it was made in Texas. I was so disappointed!!!!

Yes, they're made in Taylor, Texas, and I've emailed the company to see if I can find out how to get them. I have no idea whether I'll get a response, but will let you know if I do :goodvibes

I'll be out of town next week, and if I don't get a response from the corporate office (which is in Virginia), I'll try to get a local number for the Taylor plant and try the direct approach.

Thanks! And I will check the tags on the pillows again when we are at WDW in two weeks. If I remember correctly, there were some serial numbers on it.

I too loved the pillows at the AKV and would love some of my own! Any information would be appreciated

I went to Penney's yesterday since the manufacturer's website says they're available there, and they had the down alternative (called "Beyond Down". They didn't have the "Beyond Nature," which is the one I wrote down when I was at AKV. Hopefully, I'll get a response to my email from the manufacturer about where they're sold and what brands they're sold under. There's also going to be the issue of whether the pillows are available in different support levels. I have no idea how to find out. If anyone is at AKV and reads this, maybe they could ask someone there?

I got the pillows!!!

(At least I"m hoping they're the right ones--I won't know for sure till I sleep on them). I got an email from the manufacturer this morning telling me that they are sold under the "Indulgence" label at Bed Bath & Beyond, so I immediately went and got two. Although the style name was not on the tag, I'm trusting the corporate marketing office knows what they're talking about. The standard size was $29.95. They also have the side-sleeper version, which was $39.95.

Were the pillows you bought at bb&b the same as the ones at BCV? I want these pillows too.

I don't know. I asked specifically about AKV since that's where I used them. I stayed at BCV in May, and I don't remember getting excited about the pillows, so maybe they're different. Maybe someone who's going could take a look when they're there. The tag I have (yes, I tore it off :scared1:) says, among other things:

Made by: E. R. Carpenter L.P., 302 Highland Dr., Taylor, TX 76574
Style: Beyond Nature
RN# 85260

None of the pillows I've looked at in stores during my search have had the style name on the tags, including the ones I bought. I'm just trusting the folks who make them.
