Seems like a lot of the premiere brands are getting in on adding Disney themed merchandise

With the new addition of the stores at Disney springs, i hope they add more of these types of items this way the stores just don't feel like an outlet mall.

I myself own several Disney tommy bahama shirts

Was wondering if you guys were into this trend and what you may own

I'm not huge on Coach and have mixed feelings about these bags especially with the ears on them. I do own countless Dooney & Bourke bags from the Disney collection.

I still don't buy the outlet mall commentary from critics. I've never seen one look as beautiful as Disney Springs.

My wife likes coach bags but the Disney ones seem even more expensive/overpriced that the regular ones - these didn't seem to get her super excited

She does like the Vera Bradley Disney bags though - she even has this pattern on her magic band:

As for the "outlet mall" - I do feel the same a bit - or at least a "high end outdoor setting mall" and not super "Disneyish" ... but the theming is amazing so even if I never set foot in 99% of the stores I like the area

My wife (and myself) are coach fans. Obviously we are also Disney fans. However, the combination of the two just doesn't do it for us.

I don't either. From what I saw in January, the stores at Disney Springs are far from outlets. They are the polar opposite in fact with high end merchandise. I suppose it's more akin to the Mall at Millenia.

Nice to peer in the windows but virtually nothing that we would ever consider buying. That's what bothers me. They're going after a demographic that we just don't happen to be a part of. Most of the stores are ones that we wouldn't even set foot in because we know there's nothing there for us to buy. Personally, I'd rather have an outlet mall.

These items are not being sold at Disney Springs.

Unless something has changed, I don't believe there is a Coach Store in Disney Springs.

I think those Ears will be quite ridiculous and will just get in the way - and I love me some Mickey Ears! :earboy2:

This one is my favorite of the whole collection, but for just about $500? I'm not so sure about that yet.

I didn't think there was, though I'm surprised there isn't. I wonder if Disney tried to get them in there.

My comment about the high end stuff wasn't just aimed at Coach. However, I just pulled up the list of stores at Town Center and it isn't all as high end as I thought. Much of it is standard mall fare with some high end places thrown in. So I take back my previous comment.

That said, there's still very little there of interest to us. It's mostly places that we can easily find at our local mall and don't shop at anyway. When we shop at Disney, we want things we can't find at home.

Several of the stores are offering location specific merchandise.
That's cool. I'm glad to hear that's happening. Do you happen to know if anyone has posted anything on the DIS with the details of the location-specific stuff?

I guess outlet malls must be different up here. Disney springs definitely gives off the vibe of a nice outdoor mall to me (which we have up in the Chicago area), not an outlet mall. I think we may find that the opinion of DS varies based on where you're from regionally and what outlet and outdoor malls are like by you. :confused3

I don't think you need an official coach store to get those coach purses

I have seen several Dooney purses on sale at the Disney World Magic Kingdom stores

I'm hoping they will offer the coach merchandise

I know that Pandora also offers park only charms

Alex and Ani, Lilly Pulitzer , Vera Bradley are all getting Disney themed merchandise

I usually get my tommy bahama Disney shirts from Grand Floridian or yacht club store

I am not into any of the brands you mentioned, but I would LOVE Disney themed Sanuk shoes.

I think some of the items are nice; the saddlebags with the subtle Mickey. They're just all over priced and not something I see myself buying.
