Did you by chance get your package with the vouchers in it. I received one this morning, much to my surprise. Curious to know if we all got the same thing.

Yes - I got mine yesterday. It has 2 vouchers for 1 day/1 park admissions and 2 vouchers for admission to Pleasure Island. Plus resort discounts.

Now I am trying to figure out how to use them. If the park vouchers could be used for water parks, then I would just get an annual pass. Or I could use one to offset a length of stay pass.

How will you use yours? This is the first time in all these years that I will be able to use mine and now they say it's the last year for them!

(Of course if I get an annual pass, I can use the resort discounts later! But we are getting a better deal at the AKL with the DC offering to match AP rates )

I was told that there were no vouchers this year for Disney Club Directors !!!!!! Were the resort discounts as good as before?

Last year I was able to put the value of the 1 day park vouchers towards the purchase price of a 7 Day Park Hopper (value is normal 1 day admission) plus use my MKC Discount. Saved me a ton of $$. I would like to try and use this years towards the purchase of AP's.

We still have 4 plus features from our Hopper Passes.

I'm psyched !!!!!! I hope I get mine soon.

:bounce:

wvjules.....we are the folks that distribute applications for the Disney Club Cards at the companies we work for.

When it used to be the Magic Kingdom Club Card, companies of more than 500 employees were able to give the MKC cards free of charge. They were Corporate MKC cards

Now employees get $10.00 off the purchase of the DC. We do the marketing (so to speak).

probably use mine to upgrade to a Disney Club Hopper Plus. They will give you credit for a 1-Day 1-Park against the total price, and if you divide the net cost by the number of days, it really brings the cost down per day and still gives you some admissions to the water parks.

If you are going for cheapest ticket price per day-the DC 5-Day Hopper turns out to $33.71 per day. I haven't figured out how to compare the Hopper Plus daily cost since there is not a comparable 6-Day or 7-Day Hopper, if that makes sense. Not sure the most accurate way to compare a 7-Day Hopper Plus to a regular 5-Day Hopper since you get the extra admissions.

Only thing I can come up with is that for a 7-Day Hopper minus the credit for the voucher, cost per day is $36.80, total overall additional cost over a regular 5-Day Hopper is $89.04. So for $89.04, you get 2 more days in the Parks and 4 Plus admissions, which to me is about $133 in savings, and the benefit that it will not expire.

Guess there are a zillion ways to look at it. I too am sad this is the last year. But I was not expecting these, so I am thrilled to death to get them.

Wonder if you could put it towards an Annual Pass voucher that you would not activate until about a year later. Wonder if there is an expiration on the vouchers. Have asked the question before, but get conflicting information.

Have you guys given out that many applications this year?

When I tell people that they have to pay for the card now, most say "no thanks" Although some have still seen the value of the cards.

But it certainly hasn't been a response like last year.

Hey, I think we should get more benefits since we're making Disney money

Our organization is a Trade Association, and our members are scattered all over the sate. When they call me about the Club, I generally give them our chapter number and refer them to the web site to sign up. So I am not sure how many are actually signing up.

I have had NO employees sign up since the Magic Kingdom Club ended and you have to pay for the card now. I didn't even buy the Disney Club card myself. They just closed the Disney Store in our city, so the 10% off at the Disney Store is not really a benefit for us much anymore. At least I got the free tickets one more time!

Well I just started our MKC club about 4 months before they got rid of it and went to Disney Club - I was really ticked off about it! None of my folks have wanted one since you had to pay for it. Our Disney Store in Macon closed also:mad: I didn't know directors even got anything - this is my first and apparently last time! but the fact that they're cutting that out is just more evidence of what a gutted out mess the Disney Club is. I'm sorry to be so negative but I really don't understand why they've gotten so cheap with people who obviously spend a lot of money on their products. I'm going to Universal in 3 weeks for the first time in 8 years and the first time to stay at Universal and go more than one day. With their FOTL they really know how to reward your loyalty.

I'll bite-what is Universaal's FOTL?

We participate in Universal's program also, and I get a letter offering two one-day admissions per year, but you have to fax in the form and then pick up the tickets there and can only use them that one day. I didn't think that was such royal treatment. Is there something else I need to know about?

FOTL is Front of the Line - If you stay at Portofino or Hard Rock you have FOTL access all day. Their hotels are very easy to get discount rates on - i.e. entertainment card 50% off rates or I got my $139.00 rate from www.travelnow.com just 5 weeks before I was planning on going. I didn't know Universal had a "Disney Club" sort of deal until last week - but I will be signing our company up for it.

Please don't get me wrong - I love WDW- I've been more times then I can count and I guess that's why all this skin-flinting they've been doing lately burns me! I don't want them to become less then what I know they can be.

Wow - Just looking through my "subscribed threads" - didn't even know I had that - I guess I forgot!

Anyway - found this 4 year old thread - Had forgotten about ever getting any Disney freebies! Also - from what I've read lately I don't think $139.00 at the Hard Rock happens too much anymore either!
