Hello all!

We are planning our April trip and as all of my reservations are made, i am now obsessing over what we will wear! I usually buy from the Disney Store and pick it up over the border, but the dollar is not making that my favorite option right now... So where in Canada (online or in-store) have you found cute Disney clothes? I am looking for Princess dresses (full gown or shorter, easier to wear options) for my daughter and themed shorts for adults and a toddler. For mine, I love the women's Disney shirts that are more trendy, fitted, as opposed to the generic plain men's cut style with a giant Mickey head on the front (although I have some of those too!)

Any suggestions are very much appreciated! Otherwise I think I may try to get my sewing machine out and I am not sure how that will go... And of course, price is always a factor, so I would love to go buy a gorgeous etsy creation for every day, but that isn't in the budget either!

Thank you in advance!

The Disney Store "outlet" at Vaughn Mills Mall sometimes has a decent selection of different stuff and usually has a clearance rack at the back but I dont think it is worth a special trip if it isnt in your general area.

Off topic but, hands down, your is the best avatar I have ever seen on this site, love it!

Although a bit more expensive then in the US, there are Disney Stores in Canada too. Not sure where you live but I believe there are a couple in Toronto, there is one in Square One Mississauga.

Thank you all so much! I have bought Star Wars tees for DH and DS at Old Navy and they are great. I am in Ottawa, so no Disney stores nearby (boo) and no plans to go to TO before we leave, so no Vaughn Mills in my future either.

Thank you for mentioning Hot Topic, I had never heard of them before (I have young kids and don't get out much!!) and loved digging around on their site, as I am a Disney and Doctor Who geek, so see some good options in my future. There are a couple of stores at the other end of Ottawa so I will make a point of going out there before we leave.

And thank you Alohamom, it made me laugh and I love Van Gogh, so I thought it seemed appropriate!

Have a great day all and thank you again for the great ideas! I will report back if I make it to Hot Topic, as I may even try getting a cute Disney-themed dress (we have a dinner booked at CRT and DD will be princess-ified, so I think it would work well!) and promise to post pics if I do!

As previously noted in the thread, there's usually some Disney stuff at Wal-Mart. But don't shy away from going to The Bay or Sears to see if they have any clearance items. And I've noticed that Children's Place has started selling licensed product as well.

For any adult "nerd" stuff or board/card games, I'd also recommend finding your local comic store and taking a look there as well. Might not be any chain store bargains, but you might find something different from the norm.

I bought a dozen fitted and cute women Disney tops at Ardene in September. They even had Star Wars, Marvel, etc.... Lots of selection and very cheap.

Also you can check out gapcanada.ca under graphic tees for boys and girls. I love the Junk Food tees, and there are a number of cute Disney themed designs for girls and Star Wars tees for boys. They are pricey though but occasionally the online 40% off discount codes work on them! I find the quality better than other places that sell licensed products.

Awesome! This is exactly what I was hoping for! I have checked out Wal-Mart, Sears and Old Navy, but never thought of Gap and I just took a look at their girls' shirts and they have some super-cute ones! I agree that $30 is steep for a kids' tee, but with the discount, it gets more reasonable, and they have some really cute ones.

I haven't been to Ardene in a long while as I am a little big for their stuff, but I have lost weight and am now in a M most places, so maybe a L there would work. I will be sure to check it out!

I always have good luck at Wal-Mart for cute t-shirts for women. I've used both the Orleans location and the one on Baseline. I usually find them in graphic t-shirt section that's meant for teens, but they fit anyone. :)

Any possibility of taking a quick cross border trip to visit a Wal-Mart and other stores in the States? Massena isn't too far from Ottawa, unlike Watertown and Syracuse. I grew up in Cornwall, so we were always crossing the river to go cross border shopping. I find Disney merch is always more available in NY than here in Canada.

Thanks Kogo! Massena isn't in the cards right now, but will definitely try Wal-Mart in person and see if they have some (I didn't think of trying the teen section) that aren't online.

Thanks!

I was just going to suggest all the places people have said before! I would say most of my Disney clothes come from H&M and Old Navy, besides the Disney store.

For HotTopic, be sure to sign up for their Guest List. You can collect points that give you a discount! Also, if you have time, it's worth waiting for when they have BOGO 50% deals. Their Hot Cash promo is also pretty awesome. Can you tell I shop there too much? =p

Happy Shopping!

Awesome Hot Topic tips! For those who shop there, do you online shop as well? And if so, is the shipping, duty, etc excessive? I would shop the Disney Store more, but can't justify it with all of the extra fees that add to the final number!

I don't shop online. The duty fees alone make it not worth it. The stores will carry a lot of what is online. And when it comes to clothes, it's best for you to try them on before you buy them because HT stocks clothes from different retailers so you can never really know with the sizes.
