I just read (another thread) the Disney Christmas Parade happens on Christmas. People were talking about watching it and recording it.

Is this something we can watch out here? Does anyone know a channel it's on for Canadians to watch? We have Starchoice if that makes a difference.

As mentioned, CBC Television is the official Canadian broadcaster of the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Residents of certain border regions using a television aerial may also be able to watch it on ABC from affiliate stations in the northern U.S. (in accordance with CRTC signal substitution rules, the cable and satellite ABC feeds will likely be substituted with that of the CBC).

Assuming last year's schedule holds, it should be broadcast from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Eastern. In most of Ontario and Quebec (and elsewhere in the Eastern Time Zone), it will be pre-empted for ten minutes at the beginning to accommodate the broadcast of the annual Christmas greeting from Her Majesty the Queen.

The Disney Christmas Parade has been shown on both Canadian and American channels every Christmas morning for as long as I can remember. It has always been a tradition that we open our presents while watching the show. The time it begins will vary, depending on what province you're in. Just check your TV times guide.

It's one of our Christmas traditions as well. We watch it while opening gifts.

We get up to early to watch it while opening presents but for years now we have watched it in a sea of wrapping paper.

We watch it together every Christmas on ABC! :woohoo:

our tradition as well! i prefer watchig the cbc version however. before the commercials and when they come back from them they feature canadian families that were there during the actual taping(usually first weekend in december), whereas the abc airing features us families.

We just watched last year's version the other day! Yes, we are the people with the Disney Christmas Parade still on the PVR, and with the monorail still in the living room.

Just the other day DD said she will erase last year's parade when she manages to record this year's!

We never miss it :)
It is on of our addiction traditions :P

I am so excited this year as we will get to see the parade live during our December trip at MVMCP and watch it again on Christmas (also one of our traditions).:santa:
