The Christmas Carol is in Louisville, Kentucky this weekend. Here is some pictures from my visit this morning. I went at opening, and found a steady stream of people coming and touring, but in the hour that I was there, no long lines.

If you look closely in the next picture, you can see it snowing.

Saying Goodbye to the Train:

I was able to walk on the train with no wait. I got there just as it opened this morning at 9 a.m. and was there for about an hour. There was still no wait at 10 a.m. when I left. It is possible the line got longer as the day progressed, but I don't know for sure. The only wait was for the movie preview which was less than 5 minutes.

According to Chris (CrazyDisneyman) & his wife Kim, when it was in Indianapolis earlier this week, they had a 4-5 hour wait at 6 pm.

My recommendation and that of the Disneyland California correspondents is to get there early when it comes to your area to avoid long waits.

Wow what great pictures, Tracey! I wish I could have seen the train. It came to Denver back in June. I didn't hear about it till July.

Great pictures! Without long lines and crowds- you had a great opportunity to really get a nice look.
Thanks for posting them.

Fingers crossed there are no lines when it comes to Phila and NYC!!(one can hope...)

Cool! Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

I went yesterday as well. Must have just missed you Tracey. We got there about 12. Wait was not that long. It was really nice. Can't wait to see the movie.

I will post pictures of the people in line at the Indy stop later. You won't believe it!

The next stop is Cleveland on Wednesday and Thursday. I am suprising my DH and taking him Wednesday morning, I conned my boss into getting the day off:thumbsup2. My DH is a hugh train buff and knows nothing about this tour- at least I dont think that he does.

I am jealous!! When the train tour was in Houston the movie was not shown. They said there was a problem with it. And it was soooo hot. I arrived about an hour after it opened and waited about an hour to tour the train. By the time I was done there was a 3 hour wait. Quite a difference!

Thanks to Tracey and everyone else for sharing. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much for your trouble! We weren't able to make it up there and this is the next best thing!

We went this morning and no wait. It was awesome! My boys loved it. The last caboose has that "Disney Christmas smell" DS9 says "Its your favorite smell at the Beach Club!"

we left at 10:30 still no line.

Was the train at Union Station in Louisville?

I used to live in Louisville. Trying not to think how many decades ago... :scared1: I was bused to Central High School and our PE teacher would take us to Union Station and Sears, :cool1:, during class. :confused3:lmao::rotfl2:

Union Station is still on Google Maps. ;) I had to look. So is Central. :) Though the area looks to have changed a big since I was there but not much.

This thread is making me think how many years ago I lived in Louisville.... I don't feel that old. :rotfl:

Later,
Dan

Yes, it was at Union Station in Louisville. Union Station is the headquarters for TARC, the city bus line
