oh, you are sooooooooooooo making me want to take a disney cruise!!!!!! loved the report. do you think the disney cruise was worth the extra money? i know it's more expensive than the other cruises.

Dawn...It is DEFINITELY worth the extra money!!! I would like to go on another in the future, but for at least 7 days. A short trip is good to try it out, but if you like it, I recommend more days....3 days was not nearly enough time! IMHO

I read this trip report on/off during work(dont tell my boss ) !!! Amazing! Glad you and your friends had a wonderful trip!!!!!!
My mom and I are going in Nov. land/sea and I'm super excited!! Mom on the other hand has never been flying or cruising. She's more of a stay at home and clean on vaca type of person.

We headed to the rail to get our first glimpse of castaway Cay and this is what we saw:

We semi-patiently waited in line to see Capt'n Jack with all the families with kids......who looked at us funny since we were 5 women with no kids....but who cares?!?

Gayle I had kids with me the last time and took all my pictures with the characters because the kids won't. You have the right to be there just as much as any children.

He kneed me in the rear accidentally and I said something about him kicking me....his reply was that it was his sword....Judy proceeded to ask him "Which One???" We really joked with him as "adults" and he was very good at staying in character. Here we all are with Capt'n Jack:

Not too chilly for Pam & Roz to swim in the ocean though!

That water looks absolutely beautiful

We wanted to get a picture with the servers while in their black and white and it came out great!

I think that was an awesome plan for all of you to wear a LBD. Cute idea, might have to use that.

The Magical Express to the airport was uneventful, no movies, just a quiet ride full of sad people. We checked in, headed through security, (no delays here this time around) and made it to the gate with about 2 hrs to spare!!! It seemed like a long wait, but eventually we were on our way.

After an smooth flight, we headed into Buffalo and was greeted by this:

A gorgeous sunset to end this magical, glorious adventure of "The Disney Chix"!

Isn't so sad when you leave Disney. I usually tear up when I'm standing in line during checkout, That is one gorgeous sunset.

Gayle I truely enjoyed your TR. I want to go on a Disney cruise one day maybe in 2013 (we go to Disney every 4-5 years and we go next year so 2013 would be our next Disney trip) but definately after reading this I think it's a must.

I use to do ALOT of my TR reading at work! (Not Anymore )
Nov was a great time to go...I hope you & your Mom enjoy it. The land/sea is great for someone who hasn't cruised before...as it is short enough. I definitely want to go on another cruise.

I highly recommend the cruise to anyone! We found out you don't have to have kids in order to enjoy it and the characters. There were so many things for kids to do, we didn't feel overpowered by them. It was relaxing and enjoyable.

Sorry it has taken me so long to fnish this TR, but it definitely is harder than it looks and I admire all of you that have written your own TR's over the years! I probably won't write another one to this exyent....however I may write a short version of my 25th Anniversary trip in Sept....time will tell!

Gayle, pretty PLEASE will you write a TR about your 25th Anniversary? This is really an awesome report! What an amazing trip shared an equally amazing group of ladies. I'm so jealous! If I ever get to do a Disney cruise, you are the 1st person I'm going to ask for advice. Thanks for writing this, and I look forward to hearing about your 25th.
