Disney Character Warehouse (AMS) re-opening in Burlington, WA !

Dh and I have already talked about it. We're driving up to the warehouse on Saturday after baseball field clean up. Now, just need to print out the email for 10% off.

Will you let us all know what you find there? I won't be able to go until sometime during next week and I would love to know what they have this time.:)
Also, I don't know if they are still doing this, but I would think so. They will give you different discounts depending on how much you spend. I spent A LOT there last year and have a 30% discount card (platinum) that is good for the next 5 years. (The platinum one is given for spending $300 or more and there is another one below that... I don't remember the spending amount (maybe $200 ? ). So, if several people went together and combined their orders and one person paid for it, you will get a higher discount, if they are still doing that. The card is good at ALL the stores, so it can be used at the one near DLR also. I have saved a ton with my 30% off card.:)

Sure, I'll write what I find when we get back . WOW 30%. That's a great deal.

Hello! I am edging for a Saturday trip too, but don't know how I am going to squeeze it in. My husband may kill me, too! I tried to tell him I would just be buying souvenirs for our 09 trip, and that it would save a ton of money. But he did not fall for it this time! I don't know why he can't just get with the program, and become a true fan!

I would kill for the 30% off card. That is awesome!

My kiddos are in school in Mukilteo District. We will be at ME next year with my youngest starting kindergarten, and are at OV this year with the older one.

How about your kiddos Erin?

Does anyone know if they will be in the Portland, OR area again soon? That's a lot closer for us (plus no sales tax!).

The boys go to CO and my DD will join them next year as a kindergartener too! :3dglasses

It's not listed on their site yet, but they usually don't list a location until right before it opens. I will be happy to check with them and ask them about Portland when I go there. :)

Thank you -- that would be wonderful. :thumbsup2

Is CO Columbia? My oldest went to K-3 there. Then we moved down the hill. I still have lots of good friends in that neighborhood. As a matter of fact we are all planning a trip to DL next mid winter break with the awesome HOJO rate.

Yep, that's Columbia. Great to know I have a neighbor on the BB :yay:

I stopped in today as I went to BC and figured I may as well stop in on my way home! The guy working there said the current merchandise is from their last store and the new merchandise will arrive Monday and be out on Wednesday.

TONS of pins, but the cheapest were $4.49. I was a bit disappointed in this.

Still lots of 50th anniversary stuff right now. Hopefully the new merchandise will be different.

I'll be going again next weekend!

Thanks so much for the update. Looks like I will be waiting to go for a week or two. Sorry to hear about the pin prices as that seems a little high.

We made it to the store this afternoon. The staff did mention that they were getting a big shipment on Monday and that it should all be out on the floor by Wednesday. I gave them my 10% off coupon from email and they told me to keep it and come back later.

I was a bit disappointed by the selection and prices. There were lots of pins, 1 1/2 tables full. They ranged between 4.49 and 6.49. We didn't pick up any this time. Princess costumes were 21.99. Didn't managed to buy much today. We got dd a cowgirl hat for $1.?? and the sequined pink minnie ear w/ veil for $5.99. Snagged a couple fo mugs for $3.?? and that was it. They didn't have a lot of collectibles and am hoping they get more.

Just need to convince dh to make another trip later this week to see the new stuff. We were talking with the salesperson at checkout and we asked how many permanent disney character warehouses were there. She said 4: Fullerton, Pomona, Las Vegas, and Utah. She asked when we were going to DL and we said Aug. She gave us a flyer with a 20% discount on it. I have it now tucked away safely with my trip folder so we don't forget it.

I am glad to hear about the store and also the update from shoppers this weekend. I live in Snoqualmie and want to head north but want to wait for the best time. Would be fun to carpool with any other locals from the eastside. We are headed to DL in April and can not wait!:cool1:

OKay, I did better than the others above, because I found plenty to buy!

Took pics and everything to share with you, of the stuff I bought.

This is a photo keepsake book that we bought two years ago on our 05 trip to DL. We have worn the book out. I bought 3 of them for $2.79 each, one to gift to a friend with little ones getting ready to go on first trip, one to replace our worn out book, and one to cut up to add pics to my scrapbooks.
Also, popcorn buckets for .25 to use for our family popcorn movie nights. We bought several on our last trip, but kept losing them.
A couple of mugs for .69 cents. We love to drink cocoa out of them.

This hat is also for above mentioned friends little girl. It was less than $2.00.

Soarin Mickey was about $4.00 and nice khakis for about $7.00

Polos were between $4-$6

Cute, reversable baby girl hat. No idea how much, as I bought it by accident. Above mentioned friend is pregnant and will have 7 month old baby girl on their trip, so I guess it turns out okay for her.

Darling little dog flags, which of course my new puppy tried to chew up, so they are now purse flags;) They were about .05 cents each.

Oh, I also got a darling pink bucket hat that says princess on it, but I didn't get a picture of it, because it is on my head! About $3.00

One more, a nice 5x7 picture frame from 50th anniversary. I have the perfect picture for it. About $5.00.

I had forgotten my 10% off printout, but I told the gal and she gave me the discount anyhow. She made me promise to come back on Wednesday. Well I would really like to but I do have a J-O-B to go to, so probably won't keep that promise. I am sure I will make it back a time or two though!

I thought there was plenty of stuff to buy that was a great buy. Especially if you happen to be a Disney lady size small, which I am not. Also, plenty of stuff that really didn't seem like such a great buy, and as someone mentioned, not a lot of collectible sort of stuff.

Anyone that goes Wednesday, can you let us know what you find?? Thanks!

Great pictures and thanks for sharing. Now I want to go right away. I am torn between waiting for more stuff to be put out and not missing out. I would love to have one of the "Remember the Moments" books. Kay

I loved the photo's. We bought that book when we were at DL this summer. My niece who is 3 and has never been looks at every time she visits and talks about going to DL. However she has told me she doesn't want to go "till the dolls are fixed" :rotfl:

How was the selection on XL sweatshirts and t-shirts?

I live only about 20 minutes form there and am looking forward to going next week! I want to wait for the new stock to show up first. I didn't know there were so many DISers in Washington State. Cool!

They had tons of the books, so wait for more stuff!

Good idea using the souvenir book to cut out pics for scrapping! I'll probably go back this coming weekend and I might pick up some for that. They had quite a few so hopefully there will be some left.

My problem is I had seen quite a bit of this the last time the outlet was open in Burlington and I picked quite a bit of it up then. I'm looking forward to seeing what "new" stock they bring in later this week.
