Disney Channel Then and Now

I must ask. Which Disney Channel did you all like, then (5-7 years ago) or now. Maybe it is because I am older now, but I feel that except for Phil of the Future, Disney Channel is dead to me.

I miss Even Stevens, and So Weird. Who knows what other shows I have forgotten. And I am not talking reruns, but new episodes. And the movies, the movies I loved. I looked forward to the monthly movies, now meh.

So I wonder if anyone is like me out there, and miss the old Disney Channel.

I miss some of the old shows--Even Stevens, etc. I think Disney Channel is going downhill. A lot of the shows now are just stupid and pointless.

I never really watched it, but I would watchi it now and again. And I agree, that the disney channel has gone downhill. I liked even stevens (the evens steven movie was just on yesterday, I like that movie.)

I really don't like that all american dragon show, maggie the bug, the suit life of cody and the other kid (i forget his name) is ok, and brandy and mr whiskers is just weird!

but one of the older shows I couldn't stand was the proud family, they just bugged me for some reason!!

I just remebered, but do they do that Friday movie thing? Every friday they would play a disney movie like I remember one friday george of the jungle was on, and then another friday another disney movie would be on. I like that too...do they still do that?


Another old movie I liked was A Date with the President's daughter. I think that was one? If not I still like it lol

I hardly remember what shows even used to be on anymore!

I remember so weird...but I refused to watch that. Even Stevens...I never really got into...but there was sum stuff I really liked, but I don't remember!

Oh, I loved the movie "Stepsister from the Planet Weird" where her sister was a bubble thing

It was so much better when you had to pay to get it. Remember Fraggle Rock and Under the Umbrella tree?

Maybe disney channel isn't getting dumber...maybe we're just getting older. poo...

Don't mean to be OT, but I think Nickelodeon (sp??) has gone downhill too. I hate the new shows Zoey 101 and Ned's Declassifed. And ugh, Unfabulous. But I do like Drake and Josh. But a new show that I really like is catscratch lol. What happened to the rugrats (the younger version), As told by Ginger, Angry Beavers, Catdog, and Hey Arnold?

I LOVED Susie Q, My Date with the President's Daughter, Jumping Ship, Brotherly Love, Even Stevens, Jett Jackson, So Weird, Smart Guy, Sister-Sister, Boy Meets World (even thought it was in re-runs) Fraggle Rock (BTW, the first season of Fraggle Rock is now on DVD), Under the Umbrella Tree, and The Weekenders. I loved the theme song for Zoog Disney!! There was another show I liked, but I can't remember what it was........
BTW, why the heck did they put Dragnet on Disney Channel????

OMG!!!!!!!! Wow you sound just like me. All of these shows were my favorites. None of my friends even remember Under the Umbrella Tree. You're the 1st person I've heard of that actually remembered that.

What about DOUG!?!?!?! WOW. That was an amazing cartoon right there.

maybe it's because they have 4 different channels for it (jetix and jetix +1, disney channel and disney channel +1, toon disney and playhouse disney) so you can watch what you want really

and most of the old shows get shown when we are at school so when i'm ill i sometimes watch them

and there is only one break per show which lasts about 30 seconds-1 minute (unlike having 3 breaks)

maybe thats why?

How do you get all of those channels???? On the Disney Channel programming I get they show Playhouse Disney from about 6AM-2PM, then the new sitcoms, then about 8PM they have a movie, then about 10PM repeats of some of the shows they showed earlier, then from midnight-6AM is a ?. I have DC east and west and the only difference is that the programming on west comes on three hours after east showed it. Then there's Toon Disney. And it shows of course, cartoon programs during the day, then Jetix in the afternoon, and possibly a movie at night(?). I don't understand how you get all of the other channels with the old shows??
BTW, does anyone remember Bonkers???
