Disney CEO asks employees to chip in to pay copyright lobbyists

Interesting that the TPP is rearing its head as one of the issues at stake. From what I gather (from a really shallow knowledge of it based on brief radio news clips) the TPP would allow companies to sue foreign governments for "loss of future revenue" based on intellectual property infringements. Or something like that.

Sort of a freelance INTERPOL department of copyright pre-crime ... but that's intellectual property law for you ...
 
I'd like to hear from some of the members here who are CM's.
If the hourly people were included in the letter distribution then they may well have gotten a "Just a reminder we are laying people off left and right" warning.

Well, according to the article, and the supplied link within it, that would be illegal (as it well should be). Reprisal, and threats of reprisals are prohibited.
