Disney Card Points

Has anyone cashed in the points for certificates with the new Disney Card? How long did it take to get them delivered. Did you use it at Disney World ? Do they give you change or must you use the whold thing? I don't see anyone posting their experiance with this. I have few points and don't know if I should just wait to get a 100.00 certificates or get smaller ones.
Do they have expriation dates? Any information would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Some people have. I haven't. I think it took them 2 weeks to arrive. You do not get change. If you have a $10 cert, you can use it to purchase something greater than $10 and pay the difference. If it's less than $10, you're out of luck. (Although if you get a Disney Store card, I think the balance just remains on the card, but don't quote me on that.) Some people have posted their experiences--you must have just missed them. It's been a few weeks. The current certs have an expiration date of Dec. 2004 as far as I've heard. I plan to wait until it's closer to our trip to cashout. Some people say you can use the Disney Store cards to buy tickets at the DS, so people say you can't. You might want to check with your local DS if you plan to go that route. Personally, I plan to get WDW certs and use them for food.

I don't know about using the certs yet, but I cashed out last Fri, the certs were in my mailbox on Mon!
I ordered the ones to use in WDW since we'll be going in Oct. I'll report back after our trip about using them.

I cashed out on mine when I received my last statement. They too arrived very quickly-just a few days. They expire on 12/31/04.
Today I took a big chance. My statement closed yesterday, so today was the first day it showed my new points on my account. I just put in another order to get $30 more. I am leaving next Monday 7/28 to go to DW. I am hoping the shipping is as quick so they will be here before I leave. Don't know what I'll do if they come late. I guess I could leave a SASE here and have my mom check my mail and as soon as they arrive, she could throw them in the envelope and mail them to me at my resort??? I'm sure I won't be going again before 12/04, so I sure hope I don't get "stuck" with them.
