I am so glad we had a positive WOC experience because Fantasmic was a nightmare for us. Due to a series of really bad luck we were never able to see Fantasmic or the fireworks inside DL (although we did catch glimpses on other nights).
We reserved the Fantasmic Dessert Package on June 3. On June 5, I received a call from Chase, saying my Disney Visa had been compromised and used in Ohio. We kept the account open, but changed the account number.
When I checked in to get the tickets around 1:00 on June 25, I was told, I called on June 11 and cancelled the reservation due to an illness in my family. I had a sleepover with 11 girls at my house on that day for my DD's birthday and I can account for every minute of that day. At no time did I call Disney.
They claimed a refund was issued to my CC on June 11. That is impossible because that account number no longer existed on June 11. I pulled up my charges on my Iphone and it was never charged - not charged and refunded as they claimed. The supervisor refused to even look at my account online to verify the charges were never made. She said she spoke to the person who cancelled the package and they remembered speaking with me. No apologies were given and I was basically called a liar.
After an hour of waiting while stories were "verified" I purchased at full price a Fantasmic Dessert Seating for the next night at 10:30, a huge inconvenience because we are on Central Time and have a seven year old DD.
To make matters worse, I had to take my DH to the ER the next day because his back issues escalated and he lost sensation in his right foot at the DL nurse (who was awesome BTW!) said we really needed to get it checked out.
So the irony was that we really did have to cancel due to illness! It was our last night at DL and a terrible way to end an otherwise wonderful trip. I called Guest Services from the ER and they, of course, refunded the second package because we were in the ER during the second performance.
It was just so sad because had our tickets not been cancelled for the first night we would have seen the show.
