Here at Boardwalk. Bus transportation, WOW just WOW - AWFUL. Never experienced this so bad. Almost as if they are hoping people pay for the Minnie Van as one passed by multiple times in the 45 minutes (yes 45) that we had to wait for the bus to arrive for our ride to MK. Just embarrassing for Disney.

Not good news. Are there boards with wait times there? Can’t remember from my February trip. If a wait time of 45 minutes was displayed, or even if the wait time keeps getting updated with additional times, it sounds like a very frustrating experience. We plan to use Uber to deal with it if it happens to us. I hope your experience with bus waits for the rest of your trip improves, and that either way you enjoy your vacation!

You waited for 45 minutes for a bus to the Magic Kingdom? Sometime between 8 and 9am, it appears?

Did the CM give you any updates or explanations.

Wonder if it’s worse at the Epcot resort s due to shares busses. Also Disney could rationalize that since BWI and BC guest’s have walking and boat access to 2 Parks, so busses to the other 2 aren’t as crucial?

Lol, no that fact that I've never waited for a 1 single second for a Universal Bus. Boats maybe take 5 minutes max.

That can't be right. You've had some great luck then, because I don't believe for one second they have that big enough of a bus fleet that you never have to wait. Boats, they have a smaller space to cross so of course it takes a shorter time.

100% of the time for the last 3 years in a row. Walk up to the bus stop, bus is already sitting there or is pulling up. Same thing with leaving the park.

Okay, back from the MK. First, there are no buses shared with other resorts from the Boardwalk. At least while it’s busy (bus was full). Second, while not as long as this morning there was still an extended wait on the return trip. Third, and this was obvious waiting for the bus back, there seems to be a reduced number of buses to all resorts compared to what I have experienced in my many prior trips. That said, great time at MK, in for a break and then to AK in a bit. Although I dread waiting on another bus.

100% during our 2 stays at US we had to wait for buses, especially at closing, which we waited about 30 minutes to get on our bus. Which I expected since it was closing time. They're still better than WDW but they also are not moving as many people either.

I kid you not, I can't remember the last time i had to wait for a Cabana bay bus. Luckily we have graduated to deluxe resorts so Its a none issue going forward but it was always a joy to use the buses as compared WDW

Just back from the Dolphin and never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus to or from a park and only shared with BC/YC once.

Methinks you meant to reply to another post.
Methinks youthinks correctly. I meant to quote, "This is usually the case with Disney Buses. They are infuriating, especially after you have used the transportation system at Universal."

This is why we drive to the parks. I hate waiting for buses and I hate being crammed on a bus with strangers.

Busses are always a last resort for us. I personally feel more tired after waiting for a bus. And we stayed offsite to have a large house and pool when our kids were young so we acclimated to driving in Orlando and like to pick up supplies, drinks etc. Now when we stay DVC, we walk/boat to Epcot and HS. I love driving to AK as I want to do an early lunch st Sanaa. And anyway, unless you are staying at AKL or Kidani, busses are slow to AK, and the walk from the bus stops feels slow actually from all the bus stops. I would much rather walk to my car or take a tram than stand in the cattle car lines for busses. I’ll even drive to MK but we stopped staying to close long ago. We stay DVC or swan dolphin only and prefer ending our day at Epcot or swimming/enjoying our time at the resort.

Let me guess, they have elves hand transporting you over? They use buses, which Disney does, boats, which Disney has and walkways, which Disney also has. Buses are buses.
Wow...the boats are very quick as I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for a boat going to or from portofino bay. Ever. Even during busy times. Never taken a bus but friends who have stayed at cabana bay say they never waited for buses there like you do at Disney. They also don’t pack you in like animals so when you’re sitting down, someone’s butt us in your face. I’ve stayed at many Disney resorts. Buses suck.
