Did anyone here try or buy a Disney Bridal gown. I was just looking through the website and found a design that I like. One of the Belle gowns. Thankfully one of the stores near me is one of the supplier/sellers of the gowns. I'm hoping when my BFF comes here to visit me I can drag her there so that I can try things on. Hopefulle they will have this style there.

i didn't try one of them on, but i LOVE the belle gowns, its the reason i'm wearing gold! the one that was the inspiration for my dress was this one...

That dress is STUNNING!
Makes me want to get married all over again!

Caryn,

That is exactly the one I liked. I would love to top to be more fitted, although cowl neck usually looks good on me too. I live not to far from Bridaltown in PA, so I made an appointment for when my BFF comes to visit me in December. I figured I'd go then since I don't know when she will be here to do that again.

I tried on this dress. I thought it was a nice design and I liked it alot. For me personally though it felt more like an evening dress and not my wedding gown, but everyone has different tastes. One thing to keep in mind though...I thought these dresses were very expensive for what you get. They put the Disney name on them and charge a lot more. I could understand if there was intricate hand beading but I couldn't justify spending the money when it wasn't my "wow" dress. I ended up getting a very european style dress from Pronovias. But I suggest to definately go try them on and see what you think. The fabrics are gorgeous in person. :)

was it the darker color that made it feel like an evening gown or was the skirt not as big as a regular ball gown? just wondering...

I would probably go with this dress in white. I'll see what they have at the store too. I'm willing to try on anything to see what works too!

It may have partially been the color, although I almost bought a pink gown. :) But I think it was just the overall shape. It felt more slim fitting and not very crinoline full and ball gown poufy like most wedding gowns I tried on. I thought it would be perfect for like a elegant red carpet look, but not "bride" but then again that was just my thought. There are many people who like non traditional dresses for beach weddings or all sorts of looks can work these days. I do think that this one felt like it had the most character. It definately felt like a modern "Belle". Some of the Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty gowns felt princessy but this ballgown definately felt to me that it portrayed Belle more than any of the other gowns felt like a particular princess.
