Disney Boardwalk Area Worth Visiting on a Wednesday Evening for a few hours with the family?

If you like the look of the menu at any of the BW restaurants then make an evening of it. Have dinner, rent a surrey bike, get some ice cream at Ample Hills or Beaches & Cream (at YC/BC), check out the campfire at the YC/BC or the movie on the Village Green at the BWI. The street performers are a lot of fun & good for a few corny laughs, they are good at reading the crowds & will pick out kids to help them in their show (they're good at spotting the outgoing kids who want to be a part of it.) The midway games & photo booths are fun as well. You can also catch the higher up fireworks of Illuminations from the bridge between the BW & BC. Or you can pop into Epcot or HS if you decide a night on the boardwalk isn't for you. Enjoy!!

It's free, so yes its worth it.

Sometimes we check out the Boardwalk, then walk over the Beach Club for some ice cream. My kids enjoy the arcade at the Beach Club as well.

This would kill a couple of hours. A lot of this depends on your kids. If they are tired, or don't like walking around, they may quickly lose patience.
The Boardwalk games are not free.
