Disney Blu-ray Movie Club

I can see the value (barely) of the regular Disney Movie Club but has anyone done the math for the Blu-ray club? From what I can tell, it isn't a great deal because for one thing, you can't choose any super new releases as your three Blu-rays upon joining. The points added to Disney Movie Rewards is interesting, but for 500 points, it seems hardly worth it...

Any thoughts?
