I can't believe we just booked Dec. 9 - 13 for a quick trip. I always wanted to see the Christmas decorations and we were going back and forth...I feel a little like this will be my 3 yr. old son's last trip before all heck breaks loose and his new brother is born in Feb.

So am I crazy??? Technically I'll be 30 weeks along. I won't buy our MVMCP tkt.s (Sun. 12/12) til we get down there and I see how things are going. Please let me know if this is nuts!

Thanks,
Linda

You are definitely not crazy! I have been to WDW twice pregnant. Once was when I was 6 1/2 months, and another time when I was about 5 months. I think you will be fine, especially with the cooler weather. The parks close earlier and the weather is nice, and hopefully the crowds won't be too bad. I have had a great time both times. There are only a few rides I couldn't go on such as the safari, obviously TOT, RNR, and Mission Space. I also have felt that when we've gone that this would be our last trip for a while because of a new baby, but it has yet to keep us from going. We have three kids and we've taken them as babies and we always have fun. I hope this helps.

7 months is usually the calm before the storm for me... no longer sick, not quite HUGE, I think you'll be fine. Drink lots of water!

2nd trimester is the best!! Most nausea goes away, you get energy back. You'll have a great time!!

go for it! what better place to spend and relax before the big day?!?! plus like you said, this is your chance to go before things get crazy with a newborn. you're definitely not crazy...

I was almost seven months on our last trip and it was fine. Just drink lots of water and don't forget to take some breaks. There are plenty of places to sit and relax.

Have fun and congratulations!

I agree with the others. I went at 6 months pregnant and had a great time. Our son was about 2 years old at the time so I got to hang out with him while the others rode the adult stuff.

I went when I was 6 1/2 months with my first, in December 1998. Christmas was the best time to go. I didn't miss any of the "thrill rides" (I LOVE Tot) because there were so many shows to see and holiday goings on that I had never seen before. I got off my feet to enjoy the shows, took it easy and the weather wasn't too hot.

We are going back for our 3rd holiday trip since we like this time of year so much.

Been there, done that! I was about 7 months along in my first pregnancy and spent several lovely days at WDW. Like everyone's already said, drink lots of water and take plenty of breaks, but you'll be fine!

:sunny:

Drink plenty of fluids-eat small snacks throughout the day, and take frequent rest periods. Also, bring a copy of your prenatal record-just in case you need it for any reason. I take care of a lot of pregnant people who are on vacation-most of them have small issues-dehydration, etc. Its always a nice thing to have a copy of your important prenatal stuff-lab work, ultrasounds, etc.

You all made me feel better...now I'm not nervous, just looking forward to going! I knew you guys would come to my rescue!!! Thanks for all the helpful advice and personal stories!

*** Jridou - I'm also due Feb. 14th! Best of luck with everything!

Not crazy!! Our first trip we took our 18 month old princess: and I was 6 months pregnant. The trip was pure magic!!! Enjoy, and good luck with your new little love bug.

I have to agree with all the previous posters! I went at 3 months and 7 1/2 months pregnant and those were 2 of the best trips we have had to WDW! We are going back tomorrow with our son who just turned 3 mo! Just make sure that you rest--take time to people watch on a bench...and don't be a hero--get a wheelchair. I did that my last trip at 7/12 months and I think that saved me from getting too fatigued and I had no swwelling...drink lots of water, especially if you are flying and talk a little walk on the plane...
Any questions, email me!
Have fun!!!!:wave2:

I agree! go for it. The decorations are beautiful. My one piece of advice: REST every two hours or so. I started having contractions probably because I marathoned for two days. everything turned out ok but my advice to any pregnant moms is to rest more. I thought I was invinciple since I jogged etc. 3 y/o's like to stop at toon town and play and like to splash in fountains and play in playgrounds. Plan these stops and you should have a wonderful time. Mickeys party is perfect for pregnant moms because there aren't crowds and you can sit and enjoy shows and the Christmas parade. Catch the Christmas bears.

I just got back amd am 5 months pregnant. I was more tired than I thought I would be. I think it was because it was hot and I was pushing a stroller. Other than that I say go. The weather should be cooler which is a plus. I also say drink lots of water!
