Disney are great in a crisis - of course

I know! I was so blown away by how great they were last year, now they seem no better than any of the other companies who try and use any excuse to wangle out of paying claims. :(

sad face..sad face....ooh dear...

i feel a hiku coming on

travel insurance

you suck real big time

:badpc:

I have psoriatic arthritis, basically rheumatoid arthritis with the added bonus of psoriasis...when I filled in the form I had to state if I used mobility aids, whether I'd ben hospitalised in the past 12 months and how many different medications I was taking. I don't use aids, haven't been hospitalised and only on 2 medications so I'd assume the cost would be higher or they wouldn't cover if it wasn't well managed or more severe.

Thanks Bee, I'll let them know. You wonder how much the insurance companies are going to tack on for pre-existing conditions, $50 sounds reasonable to me and well worth it for peace of mind.

so if I do have a hospital stay and its in the $$$$$$$$$$, how do we pay it on our card????
Or is it that if it reaches a certain limit the travel insurance company steps in????
Now you have me worried, i always assumed we filled in a form in the usa and our insurance took over......also car hire excess..has anyone had issues with that??

:(:(:(

I would love to know this as well. I'm worried now also.

Ouch sent the hospital a letter saying they were responsible for our bill we didn't give them our credit card details at all only our insurance details :)

My Asthma exemption cost's me $50 too.

They wouldn't discharge me until I had paid my bill. They did ask if I had travel insurance. It was all just so stressful and confusing. I was on my own with DS with me the whole time I was in the hospital and he was only 8 at the time. I just wanted to get out of there and get back to the hotel and on with my holiday. My mum literally jumped straight on a plane the morning I went to hospital and arrived the next afternoon, but until then it was rather scary and stressful.

Oh yes, that would have been frightening. You would've been stressing out about your son so much.

I have a client who flew over to Dubai with her 2 year old and 10 month old to meet her husband who was stationed in Afghanistan. After they spent a few days together she headed off to Egypt for 10 days on her own with the 2 babes. I couldn't help wondering how that would all work if she got sick?

Even coming down with a flu or something would be scary since you wouldn't be 100% at your best to care for the kids.

How wonderful of your mum to jump straight on a plane, she clearly is awesome.

I can see why you paid that hospital bill :)
