Disney AP for Canadians??

I was told today by a CAA travel agent that one has to live in the US to get an AP ???

It was my understanding that they have tickets for Florida residents, but that the APs would be available to anyone. Can someone enlighten me on this?

I'm really getting tired of the misinformation from these people. It felt like I knew more than her about Disney (yet she kept saying: I went last November and...)

Yes, you can get an "Annual Pass" as a Canadian. I have one. The agent may have been confused with the the "Seasonal Pass" which is only valid for Florida residents.

If you are a Florida resident or a DVC member you can get a discount on your AP, but they are definitely available to everyone. She may be confused since you cannot buy your AP from CAA - only from Disney. HTH!

That's the reason why I do all my booking myself. You are probably correct in assuming that you know more than she does.

The last time we spoke to a TA was about 8 years ago. That was the time I had to correct her in everything she did. So that was it for me. Plus I enjoy planning and booking my own - cuts out the middle-man.

Anyways, back to your question. We have had a AP since we joined DVC (about 7 years ago). I agree with the others, I think your TA didn't know about it because she couldn't sell it to you or confused it with the FL seasons pass. Although it always makes me wonder why the tell you they have just been there...what is that suppose to imply?

You can get it at any wdw ticket booth, guest relations or online.

As the pps stated, anybody can get an annual pass. I ordered mine by phone and received an exchange certificate by mail about a week later. We exchanged the certificate to annual pass when we got to wdw.
