Disney Anticipating Busy Fall?

I was looking at hours posted for October and it looks like there's a lot more 8am openings this year than was last year. I'm wondering if the 60th is really driving so much more traffic to the parks this fall than previous years. I guess we'll see. November usually has parks opening up at 10am M-F. We'll see if DLR has extended hours.

I think October in general is busier because of the increasing popularity of Halloween Time, MHPs, and various conventions/events (e.g. Gay Days, CHOC Walk/Columbus Day weekend, UEA, etc.). It seems like the end of Sept. and all of Oct. get busier every year! It will be interesting to see how things are in November, especially when Holiday Time starts.

Yep. I keep checking back to see if they've released the early Nov hours. Trying to be patient but I'm eager to plan!

I hope they keep the 10 am opening for Nov since we will have EMH and getting there at 9 am will be challenging enough.

DL will open earlier (often 8AM) on days when there is a Mickey's Halloween Party so that Guests who have not purchased special event tickets can still experience the park for a decent amount of time. There are more Mickey's Halloween Party nights this year than last, so there are more early mornings for DL.

I keep an eye on mid-October because my kids always have a week off. After seeing this thread I looked at the hours. A couple years ago the standard was 10-8. This year on MHP nights it is 8-6 (same total hours), but there are also some 9-11 and 8-12 days for DL and 8-9 or 10 for CA. I was shocked to see an 8-12 on a Thursday in October, but I think part of this has to do with school vacations. Much of Arizona and Utah will have breaks that week.

Looks like this was right! The last few years during Veteran's Day week, the weekday hours have been 10-8 with Vet's Day 9-11. This year, Vet's Day is 8-midnight with weekdays going 9-9. Looks like we'll be getting an extra 2 hours each day! With crowds up, that'll be good. I do wish Space Mt was open to help absorb the crowds, though.

I think there is no slow time at all this year due to the 60th combined with holidays, marathons, etc... I've gone three times so far this year and each time was busier than the last!!

I keep hoping that the longer hours will happen in November!! Even 9-9 is so much better than 10-8 on the weekdays. Hope they post them soon!! I'd take even longer hours but would be sooo happy with 9-9, after planning with the shorter hours-it's like bonus time!!

I'm hoping the same for early Dec!! Once the prime holiday starts it's always long hours but before that it would be nice for more time. Now with the holidays, 60th AND Star Wars opening their stuff AND some stuff closing for forever AND some stuff closing for a year or longer it's going to be crazy!!
