Nope, that's not going anywhere! So in DL it will replace toon town and thunder mountain ranch? Does that mean thunder mountian the ride too? Sorry i'm new
Was there any mention of a cantina bar today?
Good question, you'd assume in DHS there definitely would, but DL? seems unlikely. And since it is a cantina, any chance alcohol will be sold?
I'm struggling to picture how this is going to fit into DL if its supposed to be the same size as the land at DHS and the one at DHS taking up so much of the park?
Can someone who's good with numbers and google maps do some comparisons please to see how it might look?
Nope. Fantasmic has run while the Frozen Fireworks have run, and there are even rumors that they'll be adding new shows during the daytime as well. It's not going anywhere. So, does the new fireworks show at DHS mean no more fantasmic?
G2s are so 2010. How about G3s?Star Wars Land will need a main attraction that can match or surpass Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. A RoboCoaster G2would be awesome.

I'm afraid, and i may be very wrong, that this along with dropping the hoopla two years ago and changing the celebrity autographs this past year, signals the end of star wars weekends as we know it. If there are star wars characters in the park all the time, increased merchandising, and a star wars restaurant, then the special aspects of star wars weekends as they are now boil down to fireworks (which they could have any time), celthe motor code, and celebrity talks and signings.
The celebrity signings are expensive for disney and really only benefit a few hundred guests, many of which are passholders and disney will figure they will buy passes anyway, and may of which are the same folks going to the celebrity talks. In terms of costs to disney, it doesn't really provide much for the average tourist family which is what they are aiming for a walt disney world.
And they can expect the promotional value that they get now from star wars weekends to be superseded by the promotional value of the new land.
On the other hand, it has become an ATM machines for Disney with merchandising, beverages, and packages. But if they go to doing those all the time anyway there is no reason for star wars weekends from the mba's and accountant's perspectives.
I hope I'm wrong.
