Disney announces new line of cameras for kids...

'Couple times last trip I heard, "no, the photo will not come out if you shoot in here. don't waste the film". Parents talking to kids with their disposable film cameras.

Let them shoot digital, they can take more pics which will teach them to take better pics, and delete the not so good versions on the fly. Just remember to ration the printer ink or put $10 a month credit (or every 3-6 months) on shutterfly or snapfish for printing.

I thnk it's a great idea. We bought our kids digital cameras a couple of years ago. They are made by Mustek and cost about $65. I know we saved money by going digital after they each took almost 300 pictures just in the Animal Kingdom the first time we went there with the cameras. And they have the added bonus of getting some nice pictures since they now take so many and can review them right away.

Disney has been in the camera business before.... I still have mine :)

Master Mason, that camera is so cool! I bet you're glad you saved it. Definitely a piece of memorabilia.

About kids and camera's; 5 years ago we took our then 7-yr old nephew to WDW and at one point during a parade handed him our Sony Cybershot (1st digital we ever owned) to take some pics with. I was quite amazed that he actually took some decent pictures and it was fun to see things from his perspective. And in case you're wondering, yes, I was worried he would drop our expensive camera but he was very good with it. When our ds is older we will definitely be getting him his own and I think he will really love it.

Mikeee, Good idea about rationing the ink cost or setting up a photo acct online.

We already have them at Best Buy. I was getting overstock from the back and saw them in the Digital Imaging overstock. They were 49.99 I believe, Icould be wrong though.

I've checked at best buy, target, walmart and ritz camera no one around here has them yet!! I was hoping to get one for myself since I've never owned a digital camera-i'm the disposable camera queen :cloud9:

COOL caps lock......

My ds got a Snap Kids digital camera last year but I don't t like that it doesn't have a flash and the quality is really poor (less than my cel phone) but it has been great for him to take pics of everything.

I see at Cars camera in our future
