Has anyone else seen this? It was posted here on the Codes and Rates board by InstImpres under the subject "2007 Value Resort Rates Are Loaded". I haven't seen it posted anywhere else including all those other boards! I thought I would share because it seems like pretty big stuff especially for those of us that have reservations in 2007 that will now fall in the new "season". Thanks for sharing Sandy! ;)

2007 Value Resort Rates are Loaded!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our agency was just able to confirm the Value Resorts are loaded in the system with 2007 Room Only Rates and the other levels will be coming soon followed by packages....

2007 has a new twist to seasons adding a 5th season (middle of the price range) known as summer. I know for those of us in NJ, summer is well past the Disney definition and we’ll get the bonus of an earlier value season.

Here it is

Value 1/1-2/14; 8/5-10/4; 11/25-12/19 $82 Standard; $94 preferred ($3 increase)
Regular 4/15-5/23; 10/4-11/24 $99 Standard; $111 preferred (no rate change)
Summer 5/24-8/4 $109 Standard; $121 preferred ($10 increase for this time from last year as it was Regular Season)
Peak 2/15-4/14 $119 Standard; $127 preferred ($4 increase standard only)
Holiday12/20-12/31 $129 Standard; $137 preferred ($4 increase standard only)

Seasons are the same as above for the ASMu Suites and the rates are:
Value $179
Regular $215
Summer $240
Peak $265
Holiday $285

Happy Planning

What about for deluxe resorts?

According to the CM's this 5th season will exist for all category resorts. They are loading the system one level at a time so we don't know the dates for each season. If you look at last year, the value resorts had different dates associated with the different seasons.

Deluxe/DVC Resorts and Cabins at Ft. Wilderness:

Jan 1 - Feb 14 = Value
Feb 15 - Apr 14 = Peak
Apr 15 - Jul 7 = Regular
Jul 8 - Oct 3 = Value
Oct 4 - Nov 24 = Regular
Nov 25 - Dec 19 = Value
Dec 20 - Dec 31 = Holiday

Value/Moderate Resorts:

Jan 1 - Feb 14 = Value
Feb 15 - Apr 14 = Peak
Apr 15 - May 23 = Regular
May 24 - Aug 4 = Summer (New - just below Peak in price)
Aug 5 - Oct 3 = Value
Oct 4 - Nov 24 = Regular
Nov 25 - Dec 19 = Value
Dec 20 - Dec 31 = Holiday

Campsites at Fort Wilderness:

Jan 1 - Feb 14 = Value
Feb 15 - Apr 14 = Peak
Apr 15 - Jul 28 = Regular
Jul 29 - Nov 15 = Value
Nov 16 - Dec 19 = Pre-Holiday (New - just above Value in price)
Dec 20 - Dec 31 = Holiday

Wow! Disney is taking the summer people to the bank! Used to be value season, and now the price is jumping to almost the most expensive! They're taking advantage of us who are willing to deal with the unbelievable heat and hurricane threats and who cannot take our kids out of school, and taking the one advantage out of going in the summer...the reasonable price! I feel victimized!

maybe i'm confused :confused3 but i think i disagree... what is now "summer" for the value/mods used to be "peak" 'cause last year (and this year) "value" season did not start 'til late august (8/28/05) and now it starts early august, and ... so the "summer" (aka june/july) people are actually getting a break, no?

I don't think so, last summer we went in July/Aug and it was regular season, next year if we go during those same times at a value/moderate resort it'll be summer season which is more than the regular season prices.

It seems like if you were staying at a delux during the summer months you'll be there in regular or value season so that's not a big deal. Just kinda sucks for staying at a value/moderate resort during the summer months.

No kidding....value resort?....not so much a value at over $100 per night in my opinion. Geez...$109 per night for a value room? They must not be having problems fillling the rooms. I'm pretty sure we could rent points at OKW for just about the same price after taxes.

Oh well....I guess that's the way it goes. I'll just continue to try to get discounts...but, if they don't release discounts, I'll be either renting points or staying off site. I can relate. I had LSU football season tickets for awhile....then, they started winning....and more people started wanting tickets. So, the tickets went up. When I originally purchased tickets, they were $22 per ticket....they are now $38 per ticket plus a "donation" just for the right to purchase the ticket. So...I gave up the tickets.

The new summer season would run about exactly what our school summer runs. This year, my DS6 gets out of school on May 26th and they return to school around August 10th.

I guess the next thing will be to look into having different seasons for park tickets....maybe charge an extra $25 per ticket for the summer compared to the off season....lol.

Speed :teleport:

To try and clarify the seasons, anyone traveling to a value resort 5/24-8/4 will see a $10 a night increase while anyone traveling 8/5-8/25 will pay $17 LESS per night.

As I said, it really helps the Northerns were school typically begins right after Labor Day

Sure makes you want to check into a deluxe in August instead of Mod/Value since it is value season - guess that was their plan - bet they book up early. When can we book packages at these rates??

The Pre-Holiday season has been in effect for the campsites for at least 3 years now (starting with November 2004).

The whole season thing is so difficult to understand. On the one hand, it seems like a sophisticated system based on supply and demand, but on the other, it seems completely arbitrary.

Why would deluxe be value at a time when mods and value are the new summer rate?

I guess another way to ask the question -- why is July value for deluxes but not for the others? Do late summer travelers tend to stay more often at value and mod? I guess so, but that's weird.

I wonder why none of the deluxes have this summer season??

2007 rates have only been established for the value resorts, I was told that all resorts will have "this new season" when the rates come out.

OT, but that's not bad. Michigan season tickets, in the end zone, are $44 per game, and that's AFTER the faculty discount!

I've been thinking about dropping them, but DW wants us to get two more for a total of four!
