Disney and McDonald's Parting Ways

After Pirates and Cars there won't be Disney toys in Happy Meals. Apparently Disney has some concern about being affiliated with fast food given all the childhood obesity.

Wonder what this means for the McD's fry station at MK and the nuggets at Epcot?

Well, that's being hypocritical of Disney. I mean I am positive that those 2 lb Mickey Rice Krispy Treats dipped in chocolate or the Disney Sized portions aren't helping it either.

This was the same thing last year they were pulling Mcd's from the parks and doing away with Happy meal ty-ins .Nothing happened I got my fries in both DL & WDW as always.

Now I not saying this won't change (and McD;s is making an effort IMHO ) but thats a lot of money crossing hands as well as exposure.

I hope they dont part ways. The only good toys that Mickey D's has is whenever they use the Disney ones!

they were talking about this on he radio this morning here in australia too. i agree with one of the previous posters, the disney happy meal toys are usually the only decent ones that McD's have. my kids still play with the kim possible toys they got almost a year ago now from the happy meals (about the time when the KP movie started showing on the disney channel here).

That is a shame. I know my kids usually get the happy meals with chicken nuggets, apples, and milk. Still not HEALTHY, per se, but not horrid either. And the only toys I ever let them keep are the Disney ones. Oh well.

The only reason we go is for the Disney Toy!! It is the only place we ahve been able to find the Wild toys.

Guess it will save me money.

My kids do LOVE the apple dippers.
